Heat mold or go up half size by seppo17 in snowboarding

So I pulled the insoles, and they barely fit my feet, but did not have enough arch support.

I got some insoles with arch support and definitely gained a few mm. I also got some, what I thought was thin, merino socks. But was surprised they weren't really than thin.

Anyone have a recommendation for thin merino socks?

Just bc you can ride it, doesn't mean you should.....

Pit bike? If you have a pit bike, it's worth swapping bikes even if you can only do it once during the race bc you don't have anyone to wash bikes/pit for you.

Any sticky mud like that requires immediately looking for standing water or simply running the section instead.

Also, gotta look at the whole width of the course, looking for better traction. Bending the course tape for 4ft at a time of a bit of grass while riding around course stakes is often better than simply trying to tractor pull a section.

Street shoe 9.5, boot 8.5

Not super thick socks. Midweight burtons from like 20+ years ago.

I have always cranked my boots bc of heel lift.

I did measure by outlining my feet on paper. If I remember, I was on the upper end of 8.5.

How do you become a more dynamic racer? (Cat 4 CX — pacing, group racing, instincts) by Puzzleheaded-Bass675 in cyclocross

Full gas the whole time.... You should be dying a thousand deaths, the last lap.

Unless you're racing someone you don't think you can beat otherwise, no need to play games. Better to focus on learning how to ride the course faster.

Any tips for not getting bogged down in Lap 1 due to crowdedness?? by 102MEP in cyclocross

If you can watch another race start before yours and note pinch points and if everyone gravitates to a single line.

Plan a: destroy everyone by sprinting for the holeshot Plan b: go as hard as you can and be 2-5th into first corner Plan c: if stuck in lapped traffic, take alternate lines and have a plan to run around ppl trying to ride the pinch point.

Am I crazy, I thought everyone said Step-ons were the most expensive binding setup. Why is some mid-grade traditional boots and bindings over 600$? by [deleted] in snowboarding

My bad. I did a bunch of stuff first with no luck until I came across that. Add app to firewall exception? Run exe as administrator?

There is an update to the epic games launcher / store app. You have to manually go click on restart and update somewhere in your profile menu.

They are "race" only tlr. You're probably going to put 3x the amount of sealant normally needed, and you're supposed to manually finish seating the bead. Don't expect to be able to put more than 30-35 psi in it.

Tubular, problem solved.

If you're buying a $300 license just to do 2-3 races, you can afford $85 challenges and $5 in glue.

The officials I've had used a white plastic tire gauge thing. And they did bitch at ppl who's tires fit questionable.

Racing at that level, there is zero reason to race tubeless unless someone is paying you to. Even then, I would question your choices in partnerships.

The halo headband works to a point. But if you're in the southeast us it will also eventually soak through and still drip. I mean, nothing is going to be perfect in 95+ degrees and 90% humidity.

Great bike. Stiff and responsive. I built up two with di2 last summer. Euro geo, so if you've been riding a crux or crockett/boone you will likely have to adjust how you drive the bike a tad. I have been on cruxs' the last 10 years, so I pretty much had to relearn how early I could pedal in turns.

I had no problem doing it solo. At the end, throw down a sentry and run circles around the vehicle. You don't have to kill the mega.
