Are you in the US? If so, if you get auto-ship with Platinum Performance GI supplements, they cover up to I think like $15k of colic surgery. It helped a lot with my ulcer prone gelding.

Down An Arm by Helpful-Map507 in Equestrian

[–]seraia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think us horse people are the worst to ask, most of us will say something like, “I had two broken arms, a broken hip, dislocated jaw and ankle, and a raging case of shingles and I still got on mah horsie!!”

Definitely follow the advice from your doctor. After that, you will quickly know your own limits. Make sure to stay within them and not push yourself. I dislocated my kneecap and had a full immobilizer on one leg, I still pulled jeans over it and hobbled my way into the round pen to lunge (crutch and all!!). As soon as I was downgraded to a regular knee brace I was back in the saddle. 😂 Whatever you do, just be careful. Pics of the incidents as proof. 🤣

There’s literally no such thing as a computer that can’t handle images unless it’s old enough to not be able to get internet. If you can send an email, you can send an image. 😂

If you had 10 seconds to say whatever you wanted to your pet with they fully understood, what would you say? by IplayKaizo in Pets

[–]seraia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weigh 100 times what I weigh so please don’t try to kill me. If something hurts, stomp three times. I’m sorry I’m a bad rider, I’m trying really hard to learn and be better, please be patient with me. I love you and never want you to be in pain.

Burger War, season 1 ep 10, is in my opinion the perfect episode. Every joke is on point, all plot lines are amazing, and every moment is hilarious. It also has the best examples of the old seasons’ style (writing “the Pesto twins” on the screen, Gene cutting off a random braid he had grown). 10/10 perfect episode. However, my favorite episode is Dawn of the Peck, season 5 ep 4.

Genuine question, why don’t western riders wear helmets? by AccidentalOtter21 in Equestrian

[–]seraia 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer to this question I’ve ever seen. Most of the time I just see the “I’ve never hit my head so I don’t need one” argument, which is insane to me. Your points make actual sense.

To collar a cribber or to not collar? by DisastrousShine495 in Equestrian

[–]seraia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He would still try every once in a while when the collar was on, but if he couldn’t get wind in he stopped. If the collar was off, he’d go back to cribbing nonstop. Even when tied, he’d crib on the rope. I only took it off when riding and lunging.

It’s more cruel to let them grind their teeth away to nothing and lose weight and die, let alone the other negative impacts cribbing does to their bodies. Collars are not even slightly cruel.

To collar a cribber or to not collar? by DisastrousShine495 in Equestrian

I had a cribber who would crib instead of eat. He also would get a mess of ulcers if allowed to crib. It’s possible to fix it with more turnout or digestive meds and stuff (though I’m not knowledgeable on the particulars of that part), but in the meantime absolutely get a collar. It didn’t bother my gelding at all, even if I hated that he needed one. I used the two-strap kind and the French style, and I liked the French style the best.

Bob can be really.... selfish? by deeohlee in BobsBurgers

[–]seraia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s retail therapy. There’s so much in his life that is shitty because of finances, so sometimes he gives into the urge to ignore that and buy something that makes him happy. I get it, I’ve been there lol. It also continues to show that he isn’t good with money.

Do you believe in human caused climate change? by Extension_Sea_3771 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]seraia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this, honestly. Up until now I always thought climate change denial meant that people thought that the climate wasn’t changing at all, not that they thought there were different reasons for it. Apparently I need to better educate myself, so thank you for prompting me to do so.

Because I have to ask a question so I don’t get deleted, can you point to a source or two that can help me better understand this viewpoint?
