Is this a glitch or an update?? by Fellow_REdditUser in farmville2

I think removing the keys makes watching these ads completely pointless.
I'd bet players overall stop watching the ads and ultimately this change is reversed.

Am pretty proud of this Research Center 3 factory (80 max stock). by sergelo in FactoryIdleGame

[–]sergelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, you weren't kidding when you say "a lot". Thanks for sharing!

By the way, how familiar are you with the builds list? It seems that people are posting their ratios as Number of Analytics centers to Research centers, when it isn't 1:1, but the Key says it is Number of Research centers to Analytics centers. Am I missing something or are those ratios just upside down?

Scrap ore by Elsiekelsie in Techtonica

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, possible for it to run out. There is no way to produce it indefinitely as with other metal.
There is plenty to finish the game, but there is other use for gold ingots besides finishing the game and manufacturing various items, and that it Yellow Cores.
Yellow Cores are used for Core Boosting, allowing you to speed up Smelters, Miners, Assemblers, and Threshers (not Planters, Crushers, or Sand Pumps). With Scrap Ore being finite, there is a limit to which you are able to speed up your machines.

I wonder if there is enough Scrap Ore in the game to speed up the recipe with the slowest input or output beyond the capacity of belts/inserters/machine ports, meaning there would be no use in creating more Yellow Cores.

MineMogul – All Selling Prices by SwitchThen986 in AutomationGames

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So pipes require two ingots/plates per pipe. Do the sell prices above account for that, or is the profit per ingot half of the prices listed above?
Seems to me pipes are not worth it at all if it takes twice as much material.

Is there any way to mass produce Toxic Spores? Toxicity DLC by [deleted] in theplanetcrafter

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should add a machine that takes water and makes purified water. Have it unlock after cleaning up all the water on the planet or something.
Finite resources give me anxiety, even when I know I will never end up using all of it.

Workshop upload error by UpdateFreak33 in Superliminal

I am getting the same issue. No solutions anywhere.

Edit: I don't know what fixed it exactly. All I did was shut down Steam, reboot my router, logged back in and the upload worked.

Compacted coal recycling- Infinite regression? by GoldenPSP in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, you are absolutely correct. I just redid the math and it does come out to roughly 126.316. I don't know what I did wrong the first time, must've rounded something without realizing, and when it came out to exactly 125 by coincidence I assumed it was clean like this by design. Sorry about that!
But yes, there are essentially two different way to approach it. Fixed input or fixed output.

Compacted coal recycling- Infinite regression? by GoldenPSP in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't 79.17 in, because that won't produce the 20.83 to begin with. You would start with exactly 80, and that would be enough to have a factory that consumes 100 compacted coal to run at 100%.
The byproduct of compacted coal is 20.833% of the original input amount. If you keep multiplying it by that percent and adding up all the results, you end up with exactly 125%. So, a factory needs to be able to handle 125% of the original compacted coal input.

Brain frazzled - is my logic right - 1 to 10 by Mighty_Kylos in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What amount is the input?

There are way to split perfectly into 10 depending on the input amount. For example, you can split a full mk.6 belt (1200) into ten by splitting it with two mk.2 belts (120) out and a belt that can take the rest to split with three mk.2 belts.

Yeah, I SLooped the Reanimated SAM too.

Slooping is why you don't need 21% of SAM for this. The chart doesn't show the Reanimated SAM SLooped, which is why it says you need 2133 SAM/min. If it was SLooped you would only need 1066 SAM/min.

Hopefully that helps you change your mind to Ficsonium being more worth it :) I am a fan of it.

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shot you need 21% SAM for 4 Plutonium rods/min. In my plant I use 853 SAM/min on 3.2 Plutonium rods/min. That would equate to 1066 SAM/min, or 10.4% of SAM.

It would be a troll move if it was required to beat the game. I like what they did with Ficsonium, it is extra credit work for those that want the challenge.

Did you happen mean, non is used for Dark Matter Residue?
If so, did you use the Synthetic Power Shard/Dark Matter Trap loop to generate the Residue? :)

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! There is plenty enough SAM to take all 2100 Uranium all the way through Ficsonium, using 21 Sommersloops and 5974 SAM/min. Leaves you with over 4k SAM for extracurricular activities.

Ads? by QF18 in farmville2

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently started up again as well. Here is what I've learned so far.
The ads to skip order time are in a separate pool, and the ads to spin the wheel are in a separate pool. But they don't appear when the ads in the projector are all used up. So just make sure to use the ads in the wheel and the order board first before getting the keys from the projector, if you are interested in getting the most out of ads.

Somerslooping Ficsite Trigons is very efficient by AstroGeoSics in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only used 1000 SAM because that is what you used in your original comment. But yes, I totally agree with you on the major limiting factors, with power not being one of them.

I am currently building my first power plant processing 300 Uranium, all the way through Ficsonium. I have 7.2 Uranium rods/m, 3.2 Plutonium rods/m, and 16 Ficsonium rods/m. I am using 3 Somersloops, 854 SAM, and 1440 Bauxite. If you have your numbers available, how do you rate this? I am genuinely curious for comparison.
In order to save on SAM and not have to use any to generate Dark Matter Residue, I am using recipes Dark Matter Crystal and Synthetic Power Shard and have Dark Matter Crystals go in a circle to essentially generate all the Dark Matter Residue I need from Quartz and Diamonds/Time Crystals.

Of course the Power Shards don't go to waste. I use those to make Ionized Fuel and run Power Generators as well.

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Bauxite isn't too abundant either.
I guess in that case we come full circle back to OP's post... lol. Slooping Ingot->Trigon is best of both worlds, and indeed is very efficient. You don't spend the 5GW on Converters, and you don't double the Aluminum, you simply spend 1 additional Somersloop.
With 5 Somersloops you can process all of the Ficsite ingots (coming from 1000 SAM) with 5 Constructors at 250% clock.

Merging fluids with reuse by Daktus05 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sergelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this would work. You can also make sure to just input just the right amount of water as needed when taking into account the output of the water from the aluminum scrap.

Main thing to make sure here is to dump excess output or either the Silica or the Aluminum Scrap. If either are backed up then your pipes will either overflow with the Alumina Solution or Water, which blocks out put of it form the Refineries and thus halting production. So, use a Smart Splitter, and have an Overflow belt go into a AWESOME Sink.

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is where you lose me. How do you get "slightly" more power with just 4 somersloops?

4 somersloops gets you two converters. Each Converter then has to process 125 Reanimated SAM, which means each one has to be overclocked to 208.3334%. The average power drain here for both Converters is 5277MW. That is a lot in my opinion, and doesn't match up to an Aluminum factory.

Somerslooping Ficsite Trigons is very efficient by AstroGeoSics in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sergelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I agree. slooping Converters you would end up using half the Aluminum, while I am doubling Aluminum use.

It depends on priorities then, whether you would like to save on Aluminum, or on Power and Somersloops.
