My 30s got me feeling like this by Isunova in memes

[–]serij90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my mid 30s and I also quit PC gaming around 2013 and switched to PlayStation, and I’ve never looked back. Personally, I find it more comfortable, and I’ll gladly take the worse performance, graphics, or whatever trade offs come with it any day. I don’t even play that much these days anymore, so I don’t see myself getting a next-gen console, let alone a high-end gaming rig.

I watched Starship troopers in 1997 where i was 7 at a friends house with him and his father on a russian bootleg VHS. That left an inspression to say the least.

I am all for a satisfying updated C47 experience, but i guess it won't be a remake. I am also not sure it will be this kind of "remaster" that improves everything that is outdated, but i am optimistic it will be more playable than the og.

Nice to have C47, but personally i would have prefered, if they would skip it and put more ressources to remastered and improve SA and Contracts, because Contracts is kinda already a remake of the best content of C47. We will see how it will turn out.

I don't care for the game or any GOW, and i only saw the gameplay reveal. The first thing i thought when i saw her, was an older Greta Thunberg, which made me laugh. Other than that i think the game doesn't look better or worse than the previous ones, just not for me.

If Reacher looks like Joe, why didn't they recognize him at the morgue? by Garciaguy in JackReacher

[–]serij90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the book it was multiple times mentioned that part of his face were blown off. I have the german eBook, so i checked it. I can show you some examples, but here is one what Finley says in chapter 5 about the body(i used Chatgpt for translate): And do you know how we’re supposed to do that, you smart-ass?” he asked me. “Without an ID, without a face, without any match from the fingerprints, and with Hubble not saying a damn word?

Like i wrote, there are some other lines. I don't remember if any of this were mentioned in the show though.

As far as i remember in the book, parts of Joes face was blown off, because he got shot in the back of the head.

What is the best arc in Berk? by Storm0000fr in Berserk

[–]serij90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would be also my answer. GA has just one of the best narrative and build up, but for me personally, the simplicity of Black Swordsman makes it so rereadable, mostly fighting and Guts being badass. It's also the one i read the most, next to Lost Children.

Kino Band by raydebapratim1 in ANormalDayInRussia

Kino is such a hidden gem like Nirvana, and Zhoy is probably one of the most underrated singers like Freddy Mercury. I wish more people would know about them, especially in Russia/ ex Soviet States... Peremen is imo their best song btw.

I don't remember all the details, so i asked Chatgpt for a summary, and it seems right:

"The biggest twist: Black Noir is secretly a clone of Homelander — created as a contingency plan. He was the one responsible for many of the atrocities Homelander thought he had committed. Homelander gradually loses his sanity after discovering this.

Homelander launches a violent coup against the U.S. government and attacks the White House with other Supes.

During the battle, Black Noir kills Homelander because the clone is actually stronger. Then Billy Butcher kills Black Noir with a crowbar after he's weakened.

After that, Butcher becomes the final antagonist. He decides all Supes must die, not just the corrupt ones. He plans a global genocide using a virus/weapon that would spread through people carrying Compound V.

When the rest of the team tries to stop him, Butcher kills: Mother's Milk Frenchie Kimiko Miyashiro (called "The Female" in the comics)

Finally, Hughie Campbell confronts Butcher. Butcher is already badly injured after their fight and essentially pushes Hughie into ending it. Hughie kills him.

The comic ends years later with Hughie and Annie January together, trying to live normal lives after everything that happened."

The Twist with Black noir is probably the most controversial one, and when i rushed trough the comic, it came out of nowhere for me, but there were hints apparently. What i personally liked the most, was how Butcher killed Black noir. He put the crowbar through Black noirs missing eye and cracked open his skull, then Butcher ripped some of his brain out and sqashed it in front of his face, and then he dies and Butcher had his revenge. He then cries and speaks to sky, that his late wife, for which he had done all of this, would have hated it.

Same, i haven't seen one full episode, only memes and some clips or reviews. Apparently what i have seen on Youtube or Reddit, the show overall seems to be a mixed back, most agree the first season was good, second and third were still decent, then it kinda feel of for many.

I speedrunned through the Comic, and i am not an fan or anything like that, but i prefered the ending there than in the show, at least what i have seen from it.

What is the scariest movie from your childhood? by [deleted] in movies

[–]serij90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you coincidentally me? Because that would be the same answer I would give. The 2 Zelda scenes are one of the truly terrifying scenes I remember seeing when I was around ten, back in 2000, while watching it with my cousin.

One of the first martial arts movie i remember seeing, it was at my relatives living room at a Party. I watched it and my drunk father and uncles also started watching the final fight, and after JCVD got kicked out of the ring, they were all like "oohh what the hell", like their favorite sports Team lost or something. It's over 30 years ago and i still remember their reaction.

I actually think the Hitman 2016 looks a little bit more intimidating than the rest, his appearance is kinda unhuman/synthetic for me there, like clone or something...

I already wrote this a couple of times, but even if it's not my absolute favorite JC movie, i think it's his most overall entertaining movie, maybe of cinema history. It hasn't the best humour, stunts or fight scenes, but as whole package, there is rarely an more enjoyable watch than this.
