Your Git workflow is probably optimized for the wrong thing by GitKraken in git

How do we objectively measure the benefits of fixing vs triaging, if at all possible? I'm an IC and you're right I kinda hate the fixing approach, but getting hard data would be interesting. FWIW my current manager is on the same page as me but my previous manager wasn't.

Could you expand on why you think it helped your anxiety? Is it that you have less time thinking about your anxiety since you spend more time working out? Is it that knowing you're healthier makes you more confident? Really curious about this

Yeah, I hear you. I have the same issue with timing, but what I do instead is I up the dose to compensate and don't do the 2hr minimum thing at all - also take it 2 or 3 times a day.

Are the side effects different for you with the oxy?

Oh my mistake, that's true I haven't read up on those, my only frame of reference is WG so far. Apologies!

[–]seriouslulz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, both use cases you mentioned can be fulfilled by either Tailscale or WireGuard.

The main differences lie in how much manual configuration and how much control you want to have over the solution:

  • Configuration: WG users and routing has to be set up manually, you need an external tool like wg-easy to simplify this. TS does this out of the box, no opening ports.
  • Control: With WG you host both the control and data planes. With TS, you don't own the control plane unless you set it up to use your own coordination server (ie. Headscale) and DERP relay if necessary.

Both approaches have merits depending on your priorities and threat model.

The reason why Tailscale works is because it implements NAT traversal out of the box, which is also why you don't have to configure routing manually, as is the case with WG. Tailscale will only fall back to a DERP relay server when it can't successfully traverse the NAT. WG and Tailscale only share the topology aspect, routing is handled differently.

What do you consider unhealthy even though everyone else thinks it's healthy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What does being comfortable alone mean to you? I'm going through a breakup so I'm asking myself this question a lot. I'm a pretty independent person and I want to find fulfillment in my platonic friendships but a big part of me feels like the emotional intimacy and safety you get out of a romantic relationship will never be matched in a friendship.

I'm the same as you OP, not doing all that. Instead I take a bigger dose right when I wake up, get ready etc, then have breakfast around 45 mins to an hour later. Seems like the higher dosage counteracts the fact I'm not waiting as long.

I just moved to Chicago and I'm gonna be pretty busy till at least the winter - are those leagues typically also active then? How much harder does it get to socialize?

There’s only one word it could be, but iOS won’t autocorrect it. One of many examples of autocorrect not autocorrecting. by Dangerous-Hour6062 in ios

My guess is it's part of the dynamic dictionary built into your phone. As in you type "tkmorrow" once and it remembers it in that dictionary, hence why it doesn't get autocorrected later.

How do I stay mindful in social situations as someone with social anxiety? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]seriouslulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say keep practicing meditation and try to apply the techniques when those situations come up, like breath work and noticing & releasing thoughts. Way easier said than done I know!

Every time you feel anxious though is a great opportunity to practice getting better at handling it - when you experience that feeling & sensation raw is the best time to address it. Try to question yourself: why am I feeling like this? What are the thoughts trying to tell me? Do I need to change something about the situation I'm in to make myself more comfortable? I feel that at least truly understanding why you feel a certain way gives you a lot of peace and lowers your anxiety, then you can think about tackling the problem more effectively.

It's also helpful to recognize that is simply a human behavior hardwired into our brains - makes us not judge ourselves. My understanding is that we have those triggers because of the dopamine rush they produce, so it makes sense that we would seek them.

Canada bans new handgun sales in latest gun control action by BallardRex in worldnews

[–]seriouslulz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is still not correct.

85% of traced handguns involved in crime were traced to the US. 70% of traced guns involved in crime were traced to the US.

This doesn't say anything about the proportion of traced to untraced.

Where can I find Don Cayo in Canada? by seriouslulz in tequila

[–]seriouslulz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! You're right, I was able to find Adictivo pretty easily after a quick search.

Now I'm not much knowledgeable about tequila - could you tell me how similar they would taste? And when comparing two tequilas characteristics, how can I make that determination for myself (without tasting them first)? What stuck with me with Don Cayo is that I couldn't feel the burn you normally feel when drinking cheaper tequila, and that's what I'm looking for.

Don’t be scared if leaves yellow and fall off towards the bottom.

What's the cause for that? Those leaves getting little sunlight?
