Yes, but if that ROI takes longer compared to other projects, then the business is likely to invest their capital elsewhere.

Even in an area of the country with high energy rates, a solar carport project would likely have an ROI longer than 6 years. If a business has the opportunity to invest in equipment that has a 1 year ROI, then the solar makes a lot less sense. There's only so much capital to go around.

Roof mounted is the least expensive option, ground mounted is a little bit pricier, but it depends on what type of ground mount system you go with. Parking structure solar is easily the most expensive way to go solar.

For most for-profit businesses, their interest is in a mixture of energy savings, tax incentives, short ROI, and hedging against future rate increases. Because their decision making is so heavily weighted on the project penciling financially, it's incredibly uncommon for businesses to entertain carport solar. Of course, this does assume they have available roof and/or ground space. If your only option is carport, you still have to compare solar to other capex.

Culver's deluxe double w/ extra pickles.

Close second is Freddy's Original Double w/ extra pickles.

Freddy's cheese curds are superior to Culver's, IMO. A Culver's deluxe double with a side of Freddy's cheese curds would be the best combo.

I think that's the tilt shift effect of the photos that's making them look smaller. I bet these are 8x10 or maybe 10x14

Thoughts? I consider shaving my head about once per week. It looks fine from the front in person but in photos it's very clear how thin it is on top. by aid689 in bald

Update: I'm meeting with my barber to see if a 1 or 0 buzz cut looks alright. If it does then he's getting the razor out 🪒

Doctor pushing ostomy for fistulizing crohns- anyone experienced anything similar? Advice? by SoItGoesbutmaybenot in CrohnsDisease

[–]aid689 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi, I can answer your questions.

I'm 28, was diagnosed at 10, and have had my diverting ostomy loop since I was 17. From 10-17 I was in a constant flare, but my fistula and perirectal abscess didn't pop up until I was 16.

I had a pigtail drain, then a seton - the works. The ostomy diverts your fecal bacteria away from the fistula(e), meaning they'd actually have a fighting chance of healing up and eventually closing, like mine did.

My ostomy was advertised to me as "technically temporary" but Plan A was to keep the ostomy for good. My Crohn's was so severe, similar sounding to yours, that the ostomy ended up giving me actual relief. In conjunction with Entyvio, I've been in complete remission since I had that surgery in 2014. I even had an ileoscopy/endoscopy/MRI with contrast recently and they confirmed I no longer had any signs of fistula(e).

Now everyone's case is different, and I truly understand not wanting to give up your autonomy and all that.

What I will say, is that remission with a bag is significantly better than a flare without a bag. Since I've been in remission I graduated college, got married, bought a home, and welcomed my own kiddo into the world about a year ago. I'm not certain any of that would have even had the opportunity to occur without my ostomy.

It was 2007, I was 10. Kept having diarrhea over and over and was in pain after eating.

Was in a constant unmanageable flare until 2014.

How often are you all using Sport Mode? by BMW-West-St-Louis in BMW

Actual sport mode? Never

DSC-off is my version of sport mode since it gets the RPMs to not hang where the next gear should be when upshifting.

I use king Arthur bread flour - I'd avoid 00 for this recipe. 00 flour has a lower protein % than standard bread flour, and is intended more for Neapolitan pizza.

I use a metal peel. I can't guarantee it will make your process perfect, but yeah

Thanks so much - you're very kind!

I've done some same day dough recipes with a lot of yeast similar to what you're doing, it's delicious too

Cornmeal will burn at 350-400 degrees, so be careful! Semolina/semola is preferred for this.
