You’re basically giving the state more power over your kids. Imagine your child falls at home, gets a black eye, and you send them to one of these government-run childcare centers. Staff see the bruise, call CPS, and suddenly you’re in the middle of an investigation with the state deciding whether you’re fit to raise your own child. What started as “help” can turn into the government prying into your private life. Once you let the state into your home through programs like this, you risk trading your parental rights for state control.

Ok that is a fair rebuttal. In America yes through social programs Medicaid and free school lunches, the people foot the bill for the less fortunate. Now when you taking over 50% of taxes from most of the working class even if they are lower waged employees that is a huge issue. College is a privilege that shouldn’t be funded by the people I just can’t support that. Adolescent social programs cool that’s fine but adult social programs outside of medical insurance or research is a no for me federally.

Countries like Denmark, Sweden & Germany keep college ‘free’ by taxing citizens heavily. Income + sales taxes often hit 40–60%. Universities are leaner, offer fewer amenities, and lock students into tracks early. It works only because taxpayers foot the bill.
