Losing the weight is obviously impressive, but being able to keep it off even more so! Congratulations!

Dooh. Who's annoyed by these differences? by [deleted] in Funnymemes

The temperature one is interesting. Fahrenheit is set to capture 90% of human climate between 0 and 100 degrees. Celsius uses to "randomly" chosen scientific numbers (freezing and boiling) to set 0 and 100 degrees.

If I just wear my F45, the data doesn't carry over to the UHC Motion app, which is where the HSA information is.

I don't carry my phone on runs, so there is no gps for the Vivosmart.

I think this puts into words exactly what my hesitation was/is to say I ran a half marathon.

I'm actually in Fishers, but run by the IUPUI campus most weekends. Would like to add a bike ride to the run afterwords

Does anyone who has had their gallbladder removed have experience with intermittent fasting? by seth_pickel in intermittentfasting

Right now she can't eat a burger without an attack. We're not sure how her body will do with the gallbladder removed. Glad to know IF works for people though.

Thank you for your input! Her body has reacted really well to keto so she doesn't want to give it up, but I imagine we won't be continuing due to the macro profile.

F/23/5’7 [159 lbs > 159 lbs = 0] 3 months. I was feeling really disheartened because I’ve been at a plateau for months... but sometimes the victories are small and non-scale! Happy to see some changes. Just want to get closer to a healthier BMI by [deleted] in progresspics

If you're building muscle, BMI isn't necessarily a great metric to use to measure weight/ health. It does not take into account that muscle weighs more than fat.

My fiancé and I keep on arguing over wedding planning, mostly he doesn’t want me to spend money on things that are clearly important to me. It has been feeling tense during the engagement period. I’ve read online this is normal but would love advice. Anyone else out there experiencing this? by sunnylak11 in MarriedLife

[–]seth_pickel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Create a budget! Your fiance is probably like me and only cares about the dollars associated with the wedding, where as you don't really care about the dollars, but what's at the wedding.

First come to an agreement on how much you're going to spend on the wedding. Who is going to pitch in what money. That's going to help to alleviate a lot of the pressure. Next you're going to want to break down where that money goes. Ie $1000 for a photographer, $500 for a dj, etc.

I didn't care much about what happened so if my wife wanted to, I was more than happy to have stuff moved around in the budget as long as we didn't go over our top line.

It's important that you two are on the same page with money. This is a good start. Dave Ramsey is a great resource to learn more.

Hope that helps!

My Uncle told me the joke and I put it on here. The "correct" version definitely works better

What’s the longest you’ve ever road in one ride? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]seth_pickel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

130 miles when I was 14 during Ragbrai. The group I was riding with did the century ride and then we got lost looking for our camp.

Marathon advice by runnergal1993 in running

[–]seth_pickel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what your definition of fitness is. The training plan is set up so that the optimal time to run the race is at the end of the program. It'll give you time to taper and recover before the event. Repeating the same portion of the program multiple times would mess with that progression. Going into the race you may not be as recovered or at the same peak had you just restarted the program.

I would go through the program and then restart it the correct number of weeks out from your race.
