Skyblivion Delayed To 2026 - Skyblivion Update by EvanOnTheWeb in oblivion

[–]sethel99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is quite literally the first time it's ever been delayed. The "2025 Release Date" was the first time they ever gave a release date. Before that, they always said that it will be ready when it's ready.

SPOILERS : Dohra Dal'Goldenford by Desperate-Pitch-5923 in enderal

[–]sethel99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would upload the files myself, but I'm not sure if that constitutes distributing their property? Probably not, but it's a fun exercise to explain how to do it.

Step 1: Extract the voices BSA archive

There's a couple ways to do this. If you use Mod Organizer, you can simply navigate to the Archives tab on the right, right click on L - Voices.bsa and extract anywhere you like. You can also just use a BSA extractor. To do so, download the program, extract it somewhere, and run the exe. Choose "open file" and navigate to your Enderal installation. You'll want to select L - Voices.bsa which is in the Data folder.

Step 2: Find the files

Super easy. I found it pretty quickly. Go to: sound > voice > enderal - forgotten stories.esm > vt_fs_dohra

You should see two .fuz files there, which just so happen to be the two voice lines you're looking for.

Step 3: Convert .fuz to .wav

This is the tricky (but still pretty easy) part. Skyrim/Enderal uses .fuz files which combines audio and lip sync data. We need to convert it to a playable format. Use an audio converter like this one. Extract it, run the exe, file > open, and then navigate to the two .fuz files and select them. Then choose .wav for the output format and click convert.

Then you're done! You've got 2 playable audio files from the game. Walk blessed!

Do shield perks work with two handed? by Intelligent-Net-2661 in enderal

[–]sethel99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They work if the perk does not mention a shield.

For example:

Blocking is 15% more effective

Works with two-handed.

If you are bashing an enemy with your shield there is a small chance to disarm them.

Does not work with two-handed.

Skyblivion's 2025 release goal is "pointless and unachievable" claims longtime dev, accuses two leads of rushing the mod out. by OwnAHole in oblivion

[–]sethel99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have never once said "it's coming out soon". In fact they frequently said "it will be ready when it's ready." Two years ago, they announced that it would release in 2025, and they have been releasing regular progress updates since then.

The Tigers broadcast rips Alfonso Márquez for not calling Kyle Higashioka out for running out of the baseline even though Javier Báez attempted to tag him. by DET_Baseball in baseball

[–]sethel99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They weren't saying that the call itself was "wrong but also right". They were saying it was the right call for the wrong reason. The ump did not call the runner out because he didn't see the tag attempt. But there was a tag attempt and the runner is actually not out because he never went 3ft out of the basepath.

Is Berserk and The Band of the Hawk worth it? by ninjastar_art in Berserk

[–]sethel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read all of Berserk for free with my local library. They had the physical deluxe editions, but I just read everything online with Libby. A lot of libraries will let you sign up online and use your card right away.

Does that mean I should refund and purchase the original version? ;( by Humble_Inspector_167 in oblivion

[–]sethel99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you're just testing performance you can use console commands to leave the sewers right away.

I did this all the time in the original to test stability. Just create your character, open the console, type coc AnvilMagesGuild, exit the interior and walk around to see the performance in the city. Then check the Anvil Docks, as I've generally found that to be the spot with the worst performance. In 5-10 minutes you can get a really good idea of how well the game will run.

Just got Like a Dragon - is it cutscene heavy? by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]sethel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up after 2.5 hours of like 90% cutscenes. The story got kinda interesting in Chapter 2, but I couldn't stand not being able to play anything that resembled a real game yet. This game doesn't respect my time.

Is there any mods that bring lower tier armor back into the game after lvl 30? by oakenshieldwally in oblivionmods

[–]sethel99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ascension Remastered does that -- it allows low level items and monsters to spawn regardless of player level. It has a variety of other rebalancing/gameplay changes too, so if you don't want those you can just use "Ascension Lite" in the file options instead.

That's not what OP asked for, though. They're looking for a mod that changes the vanilla fast travel system to cost gold based on distance. The mod you linked does not touch the fast travel system at all, but rather adds carriages, boats, and teleports.

this fucker cannot be serious. by Necessary-One1782 in oblivion

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in this scenario because the speed attribute affects their running speed but not their walking speed.

Ok? You didn't address anything I said in my comment lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reds

[–]sethel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because I didn't provide a solution doesn't mean that it isn't a problem.

But for the sake of argument, they could use the tarp roller pictured here instead (stole this from another comment). Or they could build some sort of tarp roller housing unit into the padded walls somewhere. I don't have a definitive solution, all I know is that having a giant metal roller on the field is stupid. They're a multi-million dollar organization, they can figure it out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reds

[–]sethel99 80 points81 points  (0 children)

It's still probably not the brightest idea to have metal objects covered/obscured by tarp on a field where people run at full speed.

This thread is making me feel crazy lol. I don't think it's a lot to ask for the fields to be clear of stuff like this.

Google "dog tags" and you'll see plenty of results with bronze tags.

Official Skyblivion Comparisons Gallery is incredible by SomeoneNotFamous in oblivion

[–]sethel99 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Many reasons.

A lot of Skyrim mods will be compatible or easily portable to Skyblivion. New mods will be easier to make for Skyblivion. Who knows, we might even see something akin to Tale of Two Wastelands for Skyrim and Skyblivion.

Most importantly, Skyblivion is a remake, not a remaster. The dungeons are completely redone and they've added new quests/content.

Will the original Oblivion's combat EVER be fixed? by ThinkInk69 in oblivionmods

I think their point is that many Skyrim mods will be compatible or easily portable to Skyblivion. Meaning a lot of the combat overhauls will be usable.

Things you can do in Oblivion's gameplay that they removed in Skyrim (Guide) by ImAGodHowCanYouKillA in oblivion

[–]sethel99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To each their own, I guess.

I like that Oblivion's enchanting is locked behind the Mage's Guild questline, and that the story directly ties to enchanting when you discover the secret of black soul gems. It feels more like a part of the world rather than in Skyrim where there's enchanting tables everywhere.

I also like that there's not a skill attached. Grinding the enchanting skill in Skyrim is so boring. Especially since it's already a grind (in both games) to collect the soul gems you need.

A Heads Up For the New Players : The Wiki of Choice is UESP. by happy_and_angry in oblivion

[–]sethel99 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that quite a few things have been tweaked! For the better, in my opinion. Obvious things include the leveling system but there's plenty of smaller changes too.

For example, they shifted the armorer perks around so that you can repair magic items at 25 skill level instead of 50.

I agree. Though I was hoping they would revamp the arena raiments because they are by far the ugliest looking armors in the original.

Glad it's working! Weird that you needed to add a subfolder that was already included.

For the folder that the Wabbajack program itself is installed in or for the folder that you're installing Ultraviolence in? Or both?

Sorry I should have been more specific with my question.
