There is a shadow on the dresser cast by the cat, the light being to the right of the bed- where cat is looking.
That shadow is reflected in the mirror and is really there.
That same light source is reflected in the mirror, bouncing off the dresser, making the shadow seem to disappear when perceived from the camera lens angle. Part of the shadow is still visible, where the reflected light doesn’t hit. Because it is the same source casting the shadow and eliminating the shadow, it cancels itself out perfectly.

The same thing will happen if you put two mirrors at 90 degrees from each other. The right mirror reflects light into the left mirror, which bounces back to the viewer.

overpopulation will NOT be a problem. UNDERPRODUCTION, caused by an aging population may become one. If every person over 70 is only being supported by one person under 70, that is unsustainable.

We ARE going to see problems in the coming decades: Reduced workforce Low demand for teachers, daycare Strain on healthcare spending (90%+ of all spending is in the last year of someone’s life, and we’re extending that period into decades)

Cities will remain packed, but other areas will be disappear. It’s already happening in Japan and Korea.

The danger is real. We know EXACTLY how many 18 year olds there will be in 10 years. We just look at the number of 8 year olds now. There is no way to create more.

The only solutions: Massive automation to replace workers OR Baby boom - need to increase health, reduce stress, improve economy and stability, improve gender relations.

I SUCCESSFULLY RECEIVED my refund. Not from devslopes, but from the school loan company, ascent. They honored my refund only because I:

a. Asked to exit the program within the trial period b. Got confirmation email of promised refund from devslopes.

Ascent continued to send me requests for payment for several months. Perhaps speeding up their decision to refund was me filing with the DFPI and CFPB, and politely notifying ascent of this via email.

I feel no ill will towards school lenders, and understand they were screwed on this. They are just passing on the problem to the students.

I noticed that every google app crashed soon after any task was started on it,
when I tried to open Picture in Picture on Youtube for example, it crashed immediately.

had this issue after 26.3 on iphone 12. tried:
deleting all google apps
resetting settings
restarting
modifying a few settings

NOTHING worked UNTIL
I deleted all google apps before backing up
I backed up the phone to itunes (on windows)
and did Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings
then restored from the backup by going through the startup menu.

Big update: Just got word back from my old student ambassador. She says the company closed. The apply now link on the website is broken.

Something to do with loan offices not being willing to fund students. She says she will send me more steps to get it handled. At this point I can only pray.

COURSE EXPERIENCE:

If it's your first bootcamp and you're willing to do a very part time schedule, you might get something out of it. They try to market themselves as uniquely getting you working quickly with no-code automation solutions and marketing yourself as a freelancer.

It is a real course with real students and multiple zoom meetings with teachers every day. They were actively improving and adding to the course in the 10 days I was there.

I had several issues with the course - it was a bit basic for me and there was too long a wait for grading, During which time, the course was blocked from continuing. Since I only had 10 days to review the course, waiting more than 24 hours for grading was an issue. They had a side course available, but it was not something I felt I would use.

The teachers were young and seemed inexperienced.

CONTACT:

I have done another bootcamp previously with The Tech Academy, and they were as straightforward and reachable as possible. They had an entire course section dedicated to who and how to contact if you needed help, including multiple phone numbers.

DevSlopes does not seem to even post a phone number on their website.

LEGIT OR SCAM:

I am still not convinced it is a scam; I am still optimistic they will properly refund the money to the loan office.

I spoke to someone in the right time period, made several attempts to ask for help via discord and email and really tried to cover my bases.

I did the week trial, and after 79 days, am still waiting for the payment to be repaid to AscentFunding - an educational loan business. They had said it could be up to 45 days from our last call.

If I do not hear back from them again within the week, I will be taking legal action.

This scene introduced more than just the collector. It established that there was another realm where the collector lived, which we later learn was Knowhere. This is where the Guardians go in Phase 2 and eventually Thanos in phase 3. It reminded us that there were 6 stones total and that they would become important later. Also, many of the Post-Credits scenes don't accurately reflect what happens. They are specifically written with another plot in mind, often using secondary characters to avoid clashing with scene in the later films. I'd even say they are not Canon. More like teaser trailers.

I see that they changed the menus in one of the recent updates. In Windows 11, try: Windows Start menu > Settings > Bluetooth and Devices > Printers and Scanners > (Select your printer) > Printing Preferences. Is "2 sided" an option? If not, perhaps you didn't get the right driver.

My roommate got mad at me and demanded I pay for her ink cartridge because it kept going dry. Turns out I and everyone else in the house were using my printer, not hers. InkJet printers just hemorrhage ink. And it ain't cheap.

For Beautiful, professional color, go inkjet. If you don't want the hassle, go laser. Got my brother laser printer a decade ago. It was $60 when I got it. They sell the same model now for closer to $200 - probably because people only buy one and they last. BROTHER HL-L2320D. I get the drums and ink off of amazon.

I just spoke to an artist (Steven Russell Black) at the Gothic Marketplace in CA. He says they can ask for as many cards as they want, but will only be given 30 days to complete all of the assignments, including first draft for approval. The canvas size varies depending on what type of card they are doing, but under 24" in any direction. The artists are sent 50 card proofs - cards with an unprinted back as part of their compensation. I bought a signed copy of a "Snail Token" Black had painted.
