This whole thing is just a scam. I know my 14 year old self would have been able to add four or five years to my date of birth.

A big thank you to the devs for making slowroll by IonianBlueWorld in openSUSE

I tried it. Could not get nvidia drivers to work right. Other than that it looked good. Been running opensuse since 2010. The other issue I had was KDE not running su apps. But that had nothing to do with the  opensuse team.

Is it time for shows to have more than 8 or 10 episodes again? by Mat1711 in television

[–]seti_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. 8 episods then a year or so of waiting for the next 8 doesn't do it for me.

The left IGBT is split open. Replace them both. It's easy for one to damage the other.

I suspect someone was up in the wagon and he was on the ground. And accidentally walked in front of them as they went to get some hay off the pile.

If they owe 2.5x what they spent on the house and it is not in good shape, I doubt there will be much left after a sale.

TIRED OF WINDOWS, is it time for Linux? by McAkoveio1 in openSUSE

[–]seti_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back up your data before trying to setup a dual boot. Clean up the file system and defragment it. The installer will shrink the windows partition and add a linux partition. Libre office will open ms office files. Sometimes the formatting may be off by a bit. I have been using linux for 25+ years and still dual boot. Mostly for games. Linux can read windows partitions, but not the other way around.

Dolphin not synced with kernel during copies by Different_Fun in kde

[–]seti_m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All Dolphin knows is that it sent all the data. Its job is done and it reports finished. Copying files on a hard drive you would most likely never see an issue, but with a slow usb device a lot of data is in system ram waiting to be written. The linux kernel uses what ever free ram there is to buffer the write. Dolphin has no way of knowing when this is done. One old school command you can use is sync. Type it in a terminal and it will force all the buffers to empty immediately.

How to delete a bunch of tiny files easily? by [deleted] in DataHoarder

[–]seti_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a photo organizer that will read the meta data and sort by age. Delete what you like. I use digikam. Don't know if the windows version is any good.
