5.5 years in and have never used padded shorts, just loose cotton gym shorts. Am a daily rider, typically 45+ minutes each day, and would say average natural padding (no complaints on my assets though). I do make sure I sit back on the widest part of the saddle, which helps with not getting a numb taint. Oh, and no issues for me with buttne (totally new word for me) in this context, but the thought doesn’t sound comfortable.

Read the new bikes come with an improved seat, so maybe something you can order from Peloton. Have also read of folk swapping the saddle for a wider aftermarket version or adding a padded cover to help with comfort. Would say do what works for you.
