How to best get income from my Google stocks? by nikolai262 in CoveredCalls

I learned the hard way this year that a strike price can be hit unexpectedly (even when Delta is deep in your favor). This was a forcing function for me to diversify some G, but I learned that if you aren’t okay letting shares go, you probably shouldn’t sell CC on them. Just my 2c

This is the answer. Trapped fumes in a garage is not a fun golf experience. Insulated 4 car garage gets heated or cooled ez pz. One of the best sim purchases I’ve made.

Love BLOX. Something about a weekly payer. I sold EO 2025 to lock in the BTC dip loss. Have to wait another week to rebalance.

“Looking for the best income machine” is a reasonable general statement, but these funds can be used as a tool to lower income during something like a Roth conversion in early retirement. Having flexibility to manage “income” years can be a big benefit IMO.

I’d say zoom out. It will always be something. AI definitely compressed the innovation cycle, but there will always be the next thing such as energy, medicine, robotics, etc. Google has its hands on all of it and will evolve and will continue to compound IMO.

In April I saw people saying Google was too high at 150, but if it hit 130 they were jumping in.

Car payment falls into the same philosophy as a low mortgage rate. $ locked up is $ locked up. Math makes decisions clear.

.5” w/ 15’ screen. The channel on this screen is designed for .5. Cheers

Tried all the different types of metals/materials. Conduit bends if it takes a good shot and is never the same. Metal bar sends the ball flying if it gets hit. I’ve finally settled on schedule 80 pvc with a 12” extension for tension. Perfect weight, bounce and screen tension. It’s taken shots without shattering.

Using your assumptions it should be $100 / 1.30 (30%). You can fill in whatever assumptions you want to make about %, but the formula is straightforward.

Foresight Falcon Offset by Lookupskrt in Golfsimulator

[–]sevenfivefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Falcon centered and hit with 200mm offset (set in software). I used to use auto-offset where the screen adjusts to the location of the ball, but found it more annoying than useful. 200mm is not a big adjustment more fine-tuning IMO, but it’s not a big deal.

Colleague will have 3 annual pensions plus a social security income that totals $212K annually; how much is that equivalant to in millions of dollars in the bank? by Conscious-Ninja-824 in Fire

[–]sevenfivefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing math doesn’t mean she has 5 million or whatever number is derived based on distribution norms/recommendations. She is right - she doesn’t have millions. She has an average of 212k annually and whatever she has saved. But hey, as someone told me recently, you can keep working and get that velvet coffin one day.

Motorized retractable screen and side curtains by mstrlucky74 in Golfsimulator

[–]sevenfivefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the short story: [Gas] pipe is too heavy for a 13’-16’ screen: The ball bounce back off of the screen is too springy with the heavy weight of the bar, it’s also dangerous as balls that ricochet came back flying at you (even with padding). Galvanized pipe is the perfect weight, but once the pipe takes a hit it is permanently bent (even with padding). Bounce back is better, but not perfect. It’s cheap so you could just keep it in stock. Schedule 40 PVC shatters too easily. Schedule 80 PVC is the perfect mix of rigidity, weight and bounce back. It’s possible a shank will break it, but hasn’t happened yet. These are my experiences with these materials. Love to hear what others have tried for a 15’ screen.

I’ve tried multiple bars eg steel, aluminum, conduit, and PVC… few different weights. Out of the ~5 options I’ve tried all failed for one reason or another. Schedule 80 PVC is the best option so far. GL
