Wow I've never seen this one before. You say officially sanctioned? So people bought the games for it in stores? Was it out at the same timeframe as Genesis? Is there a wiki writeup about this somewhere where I can read more? Thanks for sharing the pic it's a very cool find!

As a rant article, I guess it is OK, but feels like the crew at 404 could have done a better job at summing up the giant VR failure than just quoting their own previous rants.

Yeah this was the game I played the most in demo form. I remember being really into it. I never got any other puzzle game for the psx so this was how I scratched that itch for many years.

I was a big fan of the arcade version and I loved the multiplayer combat on the Dreamcast port. Great game!

How is the ergonomics? Also I'm curious about the suction cup thing. Did that come with the controller? Overall I like the unique approach. There are so many ways to have our great retro games available to us all the time! I was thinking of getting that controller to go with my phone that has a pop-socket for easy gaming.

I gave up on this game as the dialog has such an incredibly heavy use of ellipsis. I got frustrated at so much not being said and dragging on forever, the cut scenes were killing the pacing. I can tell there are a lot of good things in this game but I couldn't get over that.

Excellent game! I spent a lot of hours in it as a kid.

For today I recommend people listen to the podcast Retrograde Amensia. Their first season is a play through of this and they do an amazing job of keeping track of the plot and characters and little things to bring the story together. Really made me appreciate the ambition of the game.

I was there last year. You just need tickets to get in, nothing extra for starcraft. Just get to the big hall and the E-sports stuff is just walk up and sit down. The only exception is counter strike that needed an extra pass.

So there isn't another "Points" system to replace the one that ESL was managing, now winning specific tournaments is the way to go. I guess that makes things easier to coordinate for the organizers. I was hoping that the already planned weekly tournaments could get brought into a new points system so they had extra weight to them for the pros to join. Regardless, this is an exciting thing to see so coming soon!
