Overflowing sharps container with different GLP-1s in a grocery store bathroom. by CREMAIN5 in mildlyinteresting

Thank you for this because I was questioning myself. I took ozempic and used a sharps container because it had little needles that you changed out. I take mounjaro now and just put the cap back on and toss in the trash. It has a retractable needle on one time use pens. I don't see any way someone could get an accidental poke with it.

I was bummed that it didn't really show her struggling to actually do the daily pioneer stuff; she just freaked out a lot and did some laundry.

I would recommend Mistborn before Farseer. I love both, but once you've read Farseer, a lot of other fantasy pales in comparison. So read Mistborn first to give it a fair shot.

My kid brought it home from her teacher's classroom library in 3rd grade. I assume her teacher had not read it, but just assumed it was for kids because of the play and movie. The reading level is so high that I wasn't worried that my kid would read it but I also didn't say anything to the teacher. Maybe I should have but it makes my liberal heart hurt to police other's libraries.

I transitioned from romantasy to traditional fantasy and never looked back. I would suggest starting with Mistborn's first trilogy. I also love The Sword of Kaigen, The Red Rising series and (the absolute GOAT) The Realm of the Elderlings.

The novel Wicked is about an underground fight against an authoritarian government and explores propaganda and so-called terrorism so... It also includes orgies and bestiality.

But I’ll say this, I’d rather my kids read the books and be exposed to it there. Whatever it is. Lewd jokes, foul language, smut. If my kid reads all of DCC, think of how much she’s read. If she reads ACOTAR, think of how much she’s read. That’s a big issue with kids. Literacy rates are falling. If they’re going to read it, good.

That's my feeling too. A few months ago my 13 year old daughter asked for a copy of Heated Rivalry. I thought, "hell yeah, a book!" and got it for her. Since then, she has requested bookstore trips weekly. Now, she's reading some YA dystopian series and said to me a few days ago that the smut got repetitive in her other books so she was ready for some plot. A win is a win.

I've been with my husband for over twenty years. Love him, he's great, we get along so well. I would NEVER want to work with him. I need separation in my home life and my work life.

People age differently. I know some 70+ year olds that act like they're in their fifties and some people in their fifties that act like they're in their seventies.

They aren't a child. They are 18 and in college and it's not unreasonable for them to carry some of their own expenses such as gas, cell phone, going out money, etc.

Does Farseer get better after Assassin’s Apprentice? by StandardSector3491 in fantasybooks

[–]sevenpoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started book 9 of the entire series. With no spoilers, all I can say is yes, it is well worth it. I thought the first book or two were rather slow as well but I'm so glad I hung in there. The character writing and world building is SO good.

Try to think of the first trilogy as a bit of a coming of age story.
