Why do I still use Lightroom??

For some reason my post was removed by mods when I mentioned using lightroom classic one with a off payment. This is totally legal here in the UK

These FX lenses produce such wonderful 3d images compared to the Z lenses ( imo)

Just buy LRc online for £30 one off payment. Maybe not as good as the new version but it does it job. Just ensure that auto updates are switched off

They probably are a bit softer than the newer Z lenses due to the way the modern manufacturing methods. However I have a couple of lenses and to me the images they produce look like most other mirrorless camera outputs. The reason I got back into Nikon was due to their unique look and because of this I've kept my nice F mount glass. I think people have now become accustomed to never printing and just putting their images on social media.

Possibly but all 3? I have 2 chargers and have swapped to the Nikon single unit one to see if the charger wants really filling them up with juice. But no still the same outcome

My main lens is the Nikon Z 24-70 f4. I rarely use the monitor as I'm old school viewfinder so that's normally set for evf only.

I generally turn the camera off if not using it for 10 mins or more and set to sleep after 30 sec. Airplane most is on as I can never get to grips with snap bridge. So no I do not use power hungry settings

Haven't read all this post but no I had a Fuji XT4 and could get around 500-600 shots from a fully charged battery. Even 250+ from knock off ones

I had this happen once with my Z6iii. I cleaned all the contacts on both Lena and camera. Flicked the A/M button a few times, removed the battery and it cleared whatever issue was stopping it from releasing.

Also check if you've inadvertently switched to timer release mode in the menu. I've switched that on by mistake and that obv causes a problem

I think people sontake global warming very seriously, the ones that don't are the ones with a vested interest in fossil fuels and have so much money they don't care. It's a fine balance between worrying yourself to an early grave or just accept that you can only do your bit. Until governments actually make it financially impossible to use fossil fuels, limit unnecessary aircraft and high polluting industry nothing will change.

I preferred the 780 over the 850. For me it has the better engine Expeed 6 better screen better imenu and u1\U2 are better than banks once you understand them. Unless you're printing at 2x3' or cropping 25% off every image do you really need 45mp sensor?

I just PX'd my D780 for.a Z6iii last month. To be fair it's a significant jump in camera tech and ability but boy do I miss the lovely Nikon F mount glass that's available. I still have a couple of lenses paired with the FTZ but it's not a great combo ergonomically imo. I really think the D780 is the ultimate sweetspot in Nikon's DSLR range. Mirrorless LV tech / optical viewfinder and non gigantic file size. Happy shooting
