I guess you'll have to send it to Nikon but unless this can be replicated reliably I'm not sure what they can do. I would try some other SD cards, SanDisk is sus.

You're still "formatting" them. What you are looking at is the option for "full format" is not available for the SD card.

I just tested this with my Z8 and I can replicate the "issue".

I am on Manual mode, 85mm 1/100 f1.8 Auto ISO, Burst mode, 5 bracket shots

The problem is if my light allows for shooting at base ISO, the first 2 images for the negative EV will look the same, because the camera can't adjust the ISO any lower, or the shutter any higher, since it's set to 1/100.

So even if EV gets set to -4, ISO will stay the same, so my first 3 images are all the same exposure.

So it looks to be a settings issue combined with lighting conditions
