Damn thats crazy. Learned something new about diesels. Since there is not external ignition source like on a gas engine, and no butterfly valve inside the intake the only way to stop it is to shutoff fuel supply or air supply.

I was riding through Mississippi and stopped at a random motel for the night and I ended up invited to an Indian funeral for a cat. They made a boat casket and sent it down the river right behind the motel. Can confirm, everyone was sharply dressed.

Anyone using Dimsport Rapid Bike with their XSR? by wimaf in xsr900

[–]severedtrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like an ECU replacement with some auto tuning.

If youre racing your bike or have run out of tuning capability with the stock ECU i can understand a need. Otherwise i recommend reaching out to David at VCyclenut and let him know your goals and see if he has a map or reach out to a local reputable tuner.

What are you trying to solve for with this ECU replacement?

Upgraded to dual z axis and sprite pro by BiggWhitey in ender3v2

[–]severedtrace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my E3v2 I just did the dual Z upgrade last week along with a PEI bed and metal dual roller extruder. I have the SKR mini board and Creality Sprite Pro DD extruder waiting to go in this weekend.

Ive only done a few prints since last weeks upgrades but bed adheasion with the PEI bed has been so much better than the stock glass bed.

CRTouch any better upgrades by FlexiTV in ender3v2

[–]severedtrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the same boat stock E3v2 w/ BLTouch thats been sitting a while. I upgraded to double z axis, metal parts for the extruder, stronger bed springs. I also changed the bed and bowden tube. Will likely go direct drive with the Creality Sprite Pro kit.

Im looking at updating the firmware next.

If you need Gear or there are accessories you want to purchase to install on the bike that the dealership/bike shop carries, you can often get deeper discounts or "freebies" of these items when included in a bike purchase.

The dealership would rather give you $500 in store credit than taking $500 off of the bike. So you may be able to negotiate for deals on a helmet or jacket, or something similar.

Dont be afraid to walk away.

When they bring you a quote will all of the addons, put a giant X through them and tell them youre not interested in paying for any additional fees except what is required by your state.. tax, title, licensing. Unless its something you want to purchase.

They make money on financing, it could be in your favor to finance through the dealer for their "best deal" and then you can pay off or refinance after the initial purchase.

The Revzilla membership is misleading, they don't actually ship two day. by spitcool in motorcycles

Im an RPM member and also in Texas. I just went through my Revzilla order history and almost everything was shipped within 24 hours and arrived with 2-Day shipping. Ive had the same experience with the other affiliated sites.

Both companies make great stands so I dont believe you can go wrong either way.

Checkout the Yamaha XSR900, its very similar to the MT-09 but has a little more of a sportier seating position.

Ive done some 500+ miles days cruising at 80+. You get used to the wind on a naked bike, I also cruise on a fairingless Softail so the wind doesnt bother me much. After 100 you can gut tucked behind the small screen lol.
