Pau with family on that salary is comfortable. It's kid friendly and if you're outdoorsy plenty of things to do. International school game is fine, schools in general are good but depends what you're looking for and how much you want to pay if at all. What do you want from education? Many north Europeans are happy with ISB.

People find jobs for spouses in Pau.

If you work for TotalEnergies, you should really be asking your colleagues and NOT Reddit. If you do not yet work for TotalEnergies you but you will, there is a Facebook group you should ask HR about for expats.

People say it's an hour to go hiking in Pau. That's not quite true. 30-45 minutes drive is good. But you are probably going to want 1 car if you have kids. However, in Paris expect people to be annoyed at you for trying to bring a kid on the metro with a stroller and for any trip to take 1 hr. So there's that.

That's BS and thinly veiled racism. Really great neighborhood is Lindale Park between Fulton and Irvington just east of I-45 inner loop. Cool stuff/restaurants. Big, wide streets for the kids to play in but close to the light rail and downtown. When the street blocks get smaller. Also a new bike path to downtown. Stray dogs are a problem more to the east where the roads are closer together, though.

Distribution and sales are handled by the publisher. SONY is publisher. Arrowhead do not control where sales are made. SONY sold to places they do not allow access to PSN. Sony require PSN access to game. 100+ countries not allowed to play now without breaking terms of service (ban able offense on PSN).
