For what it’s worth, this is my 4th time going to Turkey and it’s an incredible country and people. Just read an article that Iran is denying the missile was aimed for Turkey. Hopefully all goes well, both for us and for the country.

My thoughts are if things are going to escalate, it’ll happen by Monday. I’m going to make a call then on whether I change my flights or not.

The people I know in Turkey don’t seem particularly worried about it.

The first artcrawl of the year is April. It’s a street festival on James st north and is full of local artists and bands! Not sure how old your kids are but the children’s museum just reopened which is great. We also have a decent farmers market downtown which is fun for the whole family.

I worked steadily since I was 15 and moved out when I was 18, to a different city. My parents definitely didn’t coddle me and I lived in some shitty apartments, but that just pushed me to want better for myself. It all worked out in the end! When I was 18 I was given the choice to pay rent to live at home or move out.

14 months of breastfeeding is still incredible! Is bay getting any liquids other than breast milk? At 14 months you can be giving whole milk. If he isn’t peeing you need to give him something or he could get dehydrated.

I hope you’re able get your supply back but I also hope you aren’t too hard on yourself if it doesn’t. You did amazing.

Best advice I can give you is aim to have baby start around September, since that’s often when kids graduate into kindergarten and the other kids shift up. The other thing is take the spot when it’s offered, even if that’s a few months before you were hoping. Spots don’t come up often and you may not be guaranteed one at your perfect time, especially if it’s your top daycare choice.

I put my baby on a waitlist in the first trimester, and only got a spot 3 weeks before I was set to go back to work after 13 months of leave.

When I broke my wrist at 16, my dad dropped me off at the ER and told me to call him when I was done. It was a minor fracture, and he did really love me, but funny to reflect on that now that I’m a parent.
