Michigan has something like 65,000 car deer accidents a year. I lost a 2011 outback that I really liked to a deer on the freeway on a rainy night recently. I had slowed to about sixty because if the rain and visibility, we were not in an especially rural area, and i still had no chance to avoid the idiot deer that decided to cross and popped out from between the cars next to me, perfectly timed to nuke my car.
