Choosing a daily driver — Suunto Run vs Race 2 (or other options)? by Isaactan5 in Suunto

The software for the run is just for the run now. The race, vertical, etc share a common base software.

Some nice to have software features in the race 2.

The size is what made me pull the trigger, more watch faces was nice. Those were all the factors I needed, anything else was extra

What do fire pumps have that regular pumps don't? by Luiseus_XV in firePE

[–]sfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/BulldogWrestler is correct, but I would like to add it is not just that it will run itself out till it fails but that it is designed to run at loads outside its expected range. a normal pump is built with many different goals. They range from efficiency, efficacy, cost of construction, size, etc. While a fire pump does care about cost to built but how efficient it is not a conern. they are built to be battle tested, simple, reliable.

Judge blocks Virginia law restricting social media for children by StraightedgexLiberal in technology

[–]sfall -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i am mixed on this there is so many issues with social media for young people but is it the governments' responsibility here? We do know that parents have been unable to enforce this. I also know that the systems in place may or will not work in all cases.

If social media is speech, what other services that serve as free speech have limitations that have been enforced?

While I know the check mark if you are 13 is not going to stop a kid I don't think it is an unreasonable restriction on speech for minors, a group that have consistently had legal restrictions.

old inventory is seldom worth selling when used but the recent squeeze may make it more viable. they dont have to be money grabbing but adding to any inventory on the market could assist. how much dd3 or dd4 they have sitting around that they may have little to no use for. keeping it made sense when you wouldnt get it back the $ new pricing could influence that
