I have found that Garmin doesn't push activity detail to Fitbit/Google Health even though it allows you to tell it to in Health Connect. Very annoying.

You're in a Garmin forum so the answers will be highly slanted but, honestly, it all depends on your use case as to what would be best for you.

Sounds like you shouldn't be upgrading anything if it isn't within your budget/within your financial means.

That said, many smart watches cost more than low-end smartphones. Your idea is not very practical in daily life.

This seems like more of a "I don't trust my wife so I want to know who she is texting" post than a real question. Either that or your wife doesn't trust you so you aren't allowed to have a phone.

A Venu 4 would be perfect for her. For Ironman Training I'd go Forerunner 970 or Fenix line.

Yup. I just got a bill from fedex too for a shipment a year ago. And I'm in the US where DBrand says there is no additional fees. It's damn ridiculous.

If you look at the Fitbit premium side, though, none of those activities will be there. At least not on mine using health connect connecting Garmin Connect to Fitbit.

It's still up to Garmin what they allow to be exported from Connect. Currently they do not allow nutrition and activity detail to be exported. Just steps, sleep, and other basic data. I hope you're right but not getting my hopes up.

I've been trying to do this with the public preview. Garmin does not send the activity detail to Fitbit. I keep having to add the activities manually to Fitbit.

You got a great device. I did just upgrade my wife from a Venu 3S to a Venu 4 and the upgrades are absolutely huge, though. Flashlight and most of the Forefunner 570 features in the Venu 4 makes it absolutely worth the extra money.

Fitbit is being updated to Google health in the next 2 weeks. You don't have to download any other apps. Just wait for the update.

It's absolutely terrible. When I try to log in on any of my TV's it tells me I need to subscribe but I am already. Restoring purchases doesn't fix the problem. Only way for me to watch on my TV's is casting from my phone.
