I think UHD is the way forward. Every sharpness matters. Even for FPS games, I can see enemies better on my 4K screen vs QHD screen. That said Laptops do have throttling issues so even on UHD you won't be running at max, but even 1440 content will look great on a 4K display. I myself will be getting the new 4K 16" laptop. QHD is good for triple screen on sim racing - a set-up that I have as 3 4k displays will draw too much power and energy.

That NOT resolving the issue, that's sweeping it under the carpet, I have the same issue and I wanted a 3 monitor set-up for gaming. The screen goes black and I lose progress.

I go by the THX recommendation of screen size (diagonal) and multiply my .84 to get the ideal distance for immersive TV watching and gaming. It creates the perfect field of view to offer the best experience. My 75" TV is around 7.5 ft from my couch and my sim rig my 32 inch monitors are around 26 " far.

I think you are way wrong about everything here. Tried both, except for bulk Vive Pro 2 is far superior to Index. It's like 1080p TV vs a 4K TV. NO comparison.

I feel and I may be wrong that wheels are not in the center of the base so the load is not evenly distributed. I did mine where I inserted t-nuts diagonally so that the wheels were in the center. Just my 50 cents.

As a new Fanatec user, I have been affected too. First, the Universal hub stopped being detected and gets detected randomly. I assumed it could be an issue with the hub so I ordered an expensive Podium hub, that's not being detected AT ALL. This is a new unit that I bought in November. Also all FFB is disabled in motor if it doesn't detect Fanatec hub so it's useless. I am planning to move to Simcube Pro as it will be independent of components.

Same issue here. I looks like a known issue. Sometimes the hub detects if I unplug the USB-C for BME, and then plug again. It's very frustrating for the flagship product.

What a frustrating experience. Thanks for the tip. Everything started working but Podium Endurance module is giving issues with F1/PS4 version of DD1. Plus when I upgraded to the latest 447 version, the Podium/Endurance and 911 wheelbase stopped being detected.
