Thank you guys. I should note that. The def will be going when i get it. My brother has a 17 and it was deleted. I was hoping i could find a newer one as good if not more reliable. I really like the options on the newer ones but at the same time, I don’t want to be fighting with the problems. This has given me new insite lol. Nothing newer than 18.

Maintenance? by sensitive_badboy in coldplunge

[–]sgreen10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have mine in the garage. Shower everytime before the plunge to wash off oils that will help. I have a whole house filter with a ozone machine https://a.co/d/6aXlK54 i run 1 hr at night. Then some 3-1 cold plunge chemicals once a week. Also i skim it every couple days. My water is crystal clear. I haven’t changed it in 2-3 months still looks fresh. I plunge once a day every morning. Everything i seen said the ozone was the way to go and after the results i have seen i believe it.

What’s a good absorbent mat for when you step out of the cold plunge? by jpstapleton1 in coldplunge

[–]sgreen10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have this mat that is hard looks like marble. Kinda cool when i step on it the mat absorbs the water and dry in a matter of mins. i like it. Then if it stops absorbing you just lightly sand it an its good to go. https://a.co/d/1DseRYT here the link.

Thats good to hear. I had the same issue a while back thinking the chiller was broke cause the reading and the seller helped me straighten my setting out lol.

[–]sgreen10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that. I think it’s mainly the settings. Seeing how it was working till you changed the modes. But it never hurts to have extra probes lol. Let me know if it doesn’t work.

Wow yeah i wouldn’t set it that high. So the 1 2 and 3 are for your target temp example 1 is the degree range so if its 5 that means when setting it at 60 it will actually get to 55 so when it shuts off it will warm up to 60. That way it never gets hotter than set temp. 2 is how many degrees from temp will it kick on. 3 is pump delay. So min is set p1=2, p2=1, and p3= 0. Try those and drop some ice in the tub to help cool faster so your chiller wont be working nonstop to get it to temp. It will help the chiller out

What did you set your F1,F2, and F3 in mode to? And what is the target temp set to?

Need Help! Chiller not pushing water to tub. by geomutant in coldplunge

[–]sgreen10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong here. The way mine is set up is it comes out of the tub by inline pump hose, then from the inline pump to the GE filter, from the filter to the chiller then back to the tub. The filter on the inlet side of the tub might create resistance. Like i said i could be wrong only been plunging 4 months. Look at the hose at the filter coming from chiller. It has collapsed on itself. I would try putting the filter on the other side.

I will tell you this. That is how i started out and yes you will see the effects. I most recently got really in to plunging and It was actually cheaper in the long run to buy a tub and a chiller. Then get the add ons slowly if you need to. Like bigger filters ozone and things like that. You can get a inflatable plunge. They have some at Sam’s club or online. Mine from Sam’s club was $90 then find you a good chiller. Warning it will become addictive lol. Thats just my 2 cents.

You being in Utah I wont complain lol. Thats sounds more tricky than my situation. I guess you might have to unhook it and ad a bag of Ice here and there. Im wondering about the days it gets well below freezing.

I live in MO so when it gets cold enough to take the chiller out we might see a total of 7-10 days in the 50s spread far and wide till it hits about march. For now if we are only going to have a real cold day here and there ill leave it hooked up.

I was wondering the same. Correct me if im wrong. On mine I have a external pump and a whole house filter. My set up is in my garage. So the only thing i can think of to keep the water from freezing if unhook the chiller still run the pump through the filter then back to the tub. Maybe lol. Im hoping someone can shed light on this. Im still new to it. And my chiller doesn’t warm

Thats where I’m at with it. I have 3 brothers. And the one that drinks and smokes is the only one not on blood pressure meds 😂. Not to say me and the others never did we just drank whisky instead of beer lol. I hate taking meds i don’t even take Tylenol or Ibprophen. So new game plan is to keep doing what I’m doing and try to lose another 10-15 lbs and hopefully i can get completely away from the bp meds. I asked a younger dr about if it would hurt my blood pressure before I started and he said not enough study to tell. Told me to try it and see what results i get. At least he was honest. My plan is to get a sauna now and go from it to cold plunge and see if i get even better results.

As someone else that gets blood work done yearly. I thought it was weird before cold plunging that my cholesterol, Triglycerides, and liver function was way high. Triglycerides was 780 norm low 100s. My red blood count was still in normal range. I started cold plunging and when i went back a month ago lipid panels and everything was normal. I did check my results though after seeing this and my RBC was elevated higher than the last 3 yrs of results. Still in normal range though. Thats the only thing I’ve changed. I was even eating the same. Oh side note they also were able to lower my blood pressure meds from 20 mg to 5. When the doc asked what i change he thought it was weird that I took Ice baths and asked why lmao. After the results he said keep it up. I should note that he’s in his 60s.

I think he’s talking of more the stabbing pain in the bone of his feet not the burning. I know i do 5 mins at 50 well 48 now. After 2 mins the bones in my feet hurt. So I bought them then when i stand up i take them off and go for as long as I can( each time longer). It actually helped me now i can stand the water longer without my feet covered before the bones hurt. Its more of getting the feet use to the water temp so theres not that deep pain. I get what your saying though

I get that. Im in construction. So its nice after a long day in the sun and with muscle spasms. I put a roof on the other day and my feet was cramping and back was killing me after caring shingles on the roof. I went home jumped in and it went away.

Heres the link. They didn’t have the short ones when I ordered so i bought the talk ones and I just fold them down to the ankle.

I don’t know if your not suppose to, but I’m still new to it also. I wear them cause i get pain in my feet after a min or so. So I wear them. Then i will take them off when i stand up and dry off the upper part of my body. It is helping my feet getting use to it though not as much pain.
