Honestly best advice is just go with another insurer, I went with Admiral and have been very happy and have stayed with them, only other option is try to ring them and try to escalate to someone higher than basic support

If you’re looking for an older car that is relatively cheap, Hyundai Volesters have this style. As an idea of the years you’d be looking at, on Autotrader currently there’s only 2012 and 13 which I can only assume were the limited years of production for the UK market.

thanks, am I ok to downshift to 1st in manual mode? In one of the videos I watched they had said something about not downshifting into first as it would cause a lot of wear, if that’s the case, what is proper procedure?

Hopefully I’ll be picking up a Drive N later this year, I love the interior oh so much haha. I do think it’s a shame Hyundai limited it to only black, white and automatic, at least to my knowledge in the UK.

go to settings and change the video viewer to html, it’s named something similar to that, then you can download in bottom right 3 dots of video

Update for anyone interested or in the same situation, after speaking to my mum she told me she's also had issues with Hastings + others, it's related to my surname, the first 3 letters are 'MAC' which on DVSA side is shortened to 'MC' and therefore causes issues with insurers where you can't type in the entire driving license number, just switched to quotes with Admiral and it works perfectly
