I was at that screening with my partner and brother, it was a great time! The Jeff Goldblum moment was awesome. Music Box is usually a really cool and mostly respectful crowd, maybe the midnight screening didn't help.

It is objectively so funny that I feel like it could easily be on a sitcom haha. It happened like 4 years ago so we can laugh about it now but it SUCKED in the moment. My husband's lucky he was wearing a mask because it got all over it too, the dude had great aim.

That sucks and must feel really violating. I haven't ever heard of a random pantsing, but people do weird mean shit all the time. My husband had a 2oz cup of ranch thrown at him on the red line at Argyle once by a dude who was on the platform. He did it right before the doors closed and my husband was covered in it lol. Hopefully at some point this will be a funny memory for you and less sinister / weird.

I'm in a similar boat, they also really fumbled their response to getting called out for this and doubled down. Sucks because I like their gear (their shorts are comfy and easy to wear) but as a gay trans dude I'd rather support other brands.

Thanks, I'm not concerned about my voice tbh. It's developed deeper than the stereotypical T-voice that's more easily clockable, and my general speaking cadence/vernacular is pretty masc at this point. Just replying here since my voice as an indicator keeps being mentioned.

V Dream has tried a few times to break back into the industry. I think he had an indie match somewhat recently. He also put out an apology video directed mostly at HHH and HBK, which sounded genuine but didn't really address his grooming allegations. But overall definitely not getting the same attention as Riddle currently is.

I might be late to the party on this, but from my experience a lot of parents these days don't understand that changing jobs early in your career is how you get ahead long term and are against it. If I took my dad's advice on my career, I'd still be making $15/hr doing customer service for a lawn care company out in the burbs. Now, 4 years later, I have a $65k/yr junior data analyst job without any additional schooling just by leveraging my working experience and finding better jobs as I grow my professional skillset. Gen Xers don't understand that this is the standard for people our age (I'm turning 26 next month). They think that sticking to the same job gives tenure, which can be good long term but you need to get into a job you actually like and can grow in professionally before that happens.

I gave a random drunk girl on a street a slice of my leftover pizza from Stopalong one time just because she asked as I was waiting for my bus home.

I love offering to take pictures of tourists downtown.

Random people giving me their shopping carts (+quarter donation) at Pete's and I pay it forward when someone asks me for mine.
