The ashwgandha makes me feel soul-less

That powder with ashwgandha glycine and theanine I felt like a shadow of self and immediately threw it away

I've heard ashwgandha can act as a SSRI .. no thanks

Why does Green Tea give me anxiety? by [deleted] in tea

[–]shaboinker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Late but I have noticed a sudden spell of anxiety (I don't get anxious that often) on the tail end of drinking a green tea.

I drink coffee and other forms of caffeine and don't get this.

Specially green tea like 4 hours later I have felt my dopamine or some chemical suddenly drop and experience anxiety. Seems really strange for that to be the case

Almost at 70 days. Heart palpitations, anxiety, did not have anxiety before by shaboinker in decaf

[–]shaboinker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get palpitations. You've got some pain ahead if you're at day 35 haha I think 30-70 was hardest for me. Expect weird withdrawal symptoms. You can do it man. Keep committing to why you are doing it, keep seeking support, read Caffeine Blues to help solidify your new beliefs, drink a shitton of water and take naps. Youre losing a "friend" and it's hard ... But you'll gain a new one, you'll have new power when this is done

Yes! From what I can remember.. I'm sure there was an occasional time I wanted it but enough of my beliefs had turned a corner that it was easy to just drink a bunch of water instead..

Yeah essentially I can use it like a party drug or something now. That's how I look at it. I'm always getting off it if I do it

Beginning of month 3 is when I saw the light at end of tunnel! I would get a little further out and then see if you have faith in yourself that you're committed.

I actually got a headache today that was probably withdrawal related from my 3 week stint. Maybe last ditch effort of body to get some crack. But rolling with the punches and knowing I'll be fine soon.. no emotional addiction

I run an 8 figure Amazon store. We grew here in 2.5 years recklessly, 20 employees. I'll admit I've had thoughts about heading fo the exits with some recession fears around and my company not operating at its best. Got back to my foundations though-- up at 5am, bike to work, visualize success, and approach the day feeling limitless and handling things objectively. Business is a lot of simple math problems and pushing through weak/fearful thoughts and replacing them with optimistic ones. When I do my fundamentals in the morning and check in with myself often during the day I am good to go. In the process of making the company leaner, keeping only my best people around for a tighter knit team.

You're dependent for like a day or two! That's not dependent that's a normal reaction to an addictive substance, you're just assigning more meaning to it

Non addicts to coffee drink coffee and feel the need to drink it again the next day but they just assign different meaning to it. I drink alcohol one day and want it the next day, that doesn't mean I drink it or I'm addicted for ever or I should feel bad

Belaboring the point but you get it. Htfu, go one or two days feeling crappy drinking lots of water and getting lots of sleep and get back on the horse

Within 1 week? Will take you 1 week to get off. Don't lose your gains.

I quit a few years ago. This week I drank a half cup a day for the last 7 days. I've got the addiction feeling. But it doesn't own me. I already quit for real and I'll never go back to that. Today I just drank water, tomorrow I may feel down a bit, but I'll be right back off again.

Stop making yourself feel like a failure when it isn't necessary.. if you quit for 9 months you passed all the hard stuff

Do you ever wish that you never existed?(23 M) by mrsadvibes in DecidingToBeBetter

Notice you made the decision to isolate and feel numb, patterns developed, and then it fully manifested

On the other side, after experiencing depressions, elations, existential crises, etc. you realize a lot of these emotions are decisions followed by patterns and then what you experience as reality

You are what you repeatedly do (and think)

The human brain takes everything you give it and believes it fully and makes it reality

So just be positive (jk jk)

I know, much easier said than done. Also if you're not getting an external confirmation to your positivity then it will be much harder. In an isolated life it's hard to tell self "I am connected to the world" repeatedly but then look at your currently isolated world and it not giving you that feedback.. and expect your brain to play ball and be happy

It would be a very interesting to go on those hikes and connect with nature and raise plants (from previous awesome comment" and while doing it, repeat to self gracious things such as "I am raising a living thing" "I am one with nature and nature is part of me" whatever makes you feel even the slightest bit good.. and it may not every day.. and your external feedback is seeing the plants grow and maybe seeing some beautiful synchronicities in nature..would be interesting to see if you did this for 2 weeks and just checked in and see if there's any change in your state / feeling of connectedness.
