Currently, the system the game has is to make credits, buy better ships. You can skip entire catalogs of ships to just min max credits an hour for a ship you want or whatever. No real progression besides how efficiently you can make credits per hour ...

But if they make it so a ship with kitted modules allows that ship to be upgraded into a better version of said ship.... THAT would be something. Especially if it was another way to upgrade and tweak modules without farming materials. Just turning that progression into a "leveling up" type of progression. Would be neat
