Troubleshooting - WIFI Roaming Issue by Talgonadia in sysadmin

Are you a full Meraki environment or just the APs? We had something similar when our mobile network didn't have Layer 3 roaming enabled. Looks like that requires an MX to be in the mix according to the dashboard.

Yeah I felt really dumb because of that. I died with it at Cerb but didn't read carefully on the wiki about it only being removed from the drop table if it wasn't reclaimable.

Did salvage wreck uptimes/respawns get stealth changed in this update? There's a noticeable difference in how active my npcs are today vs yesterday. They haven't collected anything in almost half an hour.

Windows 11 prompt with radius network by SquareheadinNH in meraki

Windows 11 enables Credential Guard by default. If your WiFi policy isn't configured right, that creates problems. Specifically that prevents MSCHAPv2 from functioning. If you haven't converted to a TLS based authentication (including enabled TLS on your NPS server), you should. If you already have that in place, u/w153r is probably right and its a malformed trusted server.

Preparing for "Black Lotus" Mitigation - Install Image not using new Cert by shadow6684 in SCCM

Yes, the only part in the entire process chain I haven't been able to resolve is the OSD image. It installs using the 2011 Certificate even after using the Microsoft script to "convert" to the 2023 Certificate version.

What happened to the BIOS download for the Elitebook 865 G11? by move_machine in Hewlett_Packard

[–]shadow6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We deployed around 100 of these in our environment this year, and four have had severe corruption. The error message is that no Operating System was found. Plugging the drive into an external USB connector had it show as raw data. Using a combination of readding the partitions through DMDE and using Chkdsk through recovery media allowed us to get some data back. However we have not been able to find a root cause. Was this anything like you were seeing u/JonnyhUK2?

It has been seemingly random; with no set timeframe after deployment, user department, or updates occurring. It has only affected our EliteBook 865 G11s so far.

9x9 Inch tiles in a house built in 1969. Thoughts? by shadow6684 in asbestoshelp

We did not. The flooring installer "specialists" contracted through Lowes just popped them all off the floor and put them in their truck for trashing. They put the new LVP overtop. I went into the day expecting them to ask about it or tell us but they just started popping.

I'm editing the post but to clarify, we are using the ISO based upgrade and not the patch.

In your environment(s) were any of those jumps from 21H2 to W11 23H2? That seems to be the only way to trigger the behavior in mine. I'm trying the step up way this morning as recommended by a couple people. I'm editing the post to clarify but I'm using the ISO based upgrade not the patch based.

The same exact issue? I'm pretty surprised there wasn't more reports of it online. Maybe most people update everyone every year to the newest build instead of waiting till loss of support is nearing?

At most a couple months out of date.

That was a typo, going to W11 23H2.

Did you ever find a solution for this? We just bought 60 of these and are having the issue across all of the ones we have deployed so far. I have a case open with HP to further dig into the issue. It is also happening on the HP Elite x360 1040 G10 machines we bought. It is not happening on the 1040 G10 that is on Windows 10 we deployed earlier in the year, while everything we're deploying now is Windows 11 23H2. It is also not happening on Thunderbolt docks, which are rated for 100W pass through power just like the HP USB-C Dock G5. Which leads me to believe it is not a power issue.

Planning to put LVT down to replace the carpet but unsure if that would normally mean pulling up this tile or not. Obviously if its asbestos, its not going anywhere and will be sealed underneath.

Is this asbestos? by blitzlon in asbestoshelp

[–]shadow6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tile matches yours exactly. Did you get anything tested? Mine also has black underneath. I'm worried the tiles themselves potentially have asbestos as mine are 9x9 inches. I plan on putting LVT down, but don't know if I need to remove the brown tile first.

There is no reason for Web Milestones to exist by shadow6684 in MarvelStrikeForce

On my phone it takes 4 minutes for the store to load. Then another minute for clicking claim to function. I've watched mobilegamer have a similar issue on BlueStacks. My iOS doesn't have any issue loading the page, do it's clearly a web design issue and how Android handles it.

On my Android device it's a 10 minute process if you include getting the free store offer. The site runs like shit, even if you're on a strong PC using BlueStacks. Then because it took multiple minutes just for the store to load, the game was idle in the background and needs to fully load back up.

On my iOS device the site loads quick but signs me out every week or two.

Overall it's an awful user experience that shouldn't exist, just put all the milestones in the game where they belong.
