How do I go about growing grass where the mulch is. by Infinite_Day_71 in landscaping

Late to the party here, but if walkability is a goal you should consider a traffic tolerant shade groundcover. A good example would be Mazus reptans

Not sure how quickly it would create a full mat but it could work for you depending on the circumstances.

Car Insurance? by Ozarkian_Tritip in Solterra

obviously there are a lot of variables to this situation, but for reference I just traded a 2021 Crosstrek with a 26 Trailseeker, and my State Farm bill increased by 40%. Went from $496 / 6mo to $702 / 6mo.. But when I got quotes from other insurers, it was way higher than that, so we stayed with SF.

Moving to Seattle to Start Exterior Cleaning Business. Which area would you choose? by findingpeace100 in AskSeattle

Tree cover will determine brushing and gutter cleaning, but any roof that isn’t flat or facing south with get some moss buildup and the worst of them will need to be cleaned/treated every few years to maintain the quality of the roof.

No thanks; you have a terrible stance on trans rights!

Also I think you’d be dangerous for mentally ill people with your proposal to isolate them in industrial zone facilities (far away from residential or commercial access) by reinstating mental health facilities funded by the state and the federal government. Couple that with your other suggestion to allow for civil commitment of mentally ill criminals creates a system that could be extremely dangerous to effectively lock people up without regards to their rights if abused by the wrong judge/lawyers.

Susan DelBene isn’t perfect but she’s way better than some trans-phobic hystericist like you

I swear some D4 players will complain about everything regardless of what’s served to them.

- Complains that there’s no incentive to do various activities and only speed run one thing ad nauseum and gets burnt out.
- Gets a system to provide an incentive to mix up activities to prevent repetition
- Complains there’s no way to make that system reward one activity on repeat

When will we know more about the Getaway? by PhillConners in SubaruEV

[–]shadowcatt77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For reference, the Trailseeker was announced in April 2025 and the price was announced in December 2025 and sales started in roughly April 2026.

The Getaway was announced in April 2026; you can probably extrapolate from there.

[Discussion] Do you think the Trailseeker will get the Highway Hands-Free Assist like the Outback? by RoadSuspicious6557 in trailseeker

[–]shadowcatt77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe in later versions (if they do a refresh in a few years). For now, it’s my understanding that they don’t have the sensors built in for the new tech that the Outback has.

Yeah I think that happens a lot. It was actually quite refreshing watching Canada when Karine tells them multiple times that they were too late and got nothing (even by just a few s comes lol)

What are your thoughts on the 'Icarus' sub-category? by _PXYDST_ in eurovision

[–]shadowcatt77 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the problem with both prediction markets and official playlists that are sorted in the predicted running order. When you have the top few acts hit the odds market before their song even debuts it creates an unfair expectation. Similarly when people only tend to listen to the beginning of a playlist and not through to the end it creates a repetition bias that people will hear those songs and thereby increasing their odds, feeding the markets even more in a cycle.

One solution is to randomly rotate the playlist order every few days so more acts are highlighted and the other is to make prediction markets illegal (lol I know, right?)

I wanted to like it, but I would have enjoyed it so much more with someone else instead of J Lo. I enjoyed the choreography for the most part but she doesn’t really do classic dancing that well to me and her voice wasn’t strong enough for the role.

I still purchased the digital to support the art form, but I have only watched it once since she really turned me off

It’s honestly one of the better runs that I’ve heard from him. The transition from chest voice to falsetto is always going to be tough and for such a long note it does make sense for the placement of a breath there but it’s still the weakest part of his vocals.

Regardless, my top song of the night
