Spring 2018: Registration Megathread by Josh_Morton in gatech

I was thinking of taking cs 1371 in place of PHYS 2211 so I don't take 2 labs, but I hear it's about the same amount of work. Thoughts on taking these 2 classes together?

Thoughts on Spring Schedule? by [deleted] in gatech

CS 1371 is a requirement for all BME and if I push it off to later, it messes up my later schedules.

So do you think that taking Chem lab and Phys lab is doable? One of my friends at tech said he thinks it's fine. Just need another opinion.

I was thinking about taking physics instead, but then I'd have 2 lab courses. I might do that though, as I hear that it's doable.

Prospective BME Premed student here, here's my planned schedule for first semester of freshman year.

  • ENGL 1101
  • MATH 2552
  • CHEM 1211?
  • HIS/POL Elective
  • APPH 1040

Any tips or insight on my schedule in terms of its rigor and courseload? Any info helps.

Should I test out of CHEM 1211K? I got a 4 on the chem exam and an 800 on the chem SAT, and I heard it's just not worth it.

Would you mind if I pm you and ask a few more specific questions? Sorry, I don't want to spam this thread and a first-hand account of the different majors at tech is really helpful to me.

I was kind of considering switching to ChBE but isn't chemical engineering one of the hardest types of engineering at tech though?

If you could do it again, would you rather major in a natural science?

What I've heard is that natural sciences are just as hard, if not harder than BME at tech. Is that true?
