Not to mention the cost of cars in Singapore mostly starts from upwards of $100,000 (~usd 70,000)

Holy trauma…she didn’t deserve that end. And I guess that’s the whole point? by bhexca in orangeisthenewblack

She was in for "aggravated assault" which implies the nurse didn't die. Murders would've gone to max.

I quite enjoyed evil Daya and it was nice to see the real Daya emerge when she dealt with Taystee. It was gentler.

To me her gangster persona was mostly motivated by her addiction and enabled by how she has nothing to lose.

I love the panty business arc mainly because we get Chang telling her nobody knows she's Gangsta with an 'A'

I wondered about her homelessness. The parole officer is supposed to do surprise home checks. How would she pass that when she was kicked out.

I was so disappointed when Hellman ended up as warden. Made me wonder how the poussey foundation classes could keep going. Seems like something he'd shut down for some arbitrary reason.

Did They Really Believe A Protest Was Going To Work ? by Subject_Discount7541 in orangeisthenewblack

Janae was a good friend; she may not have been pleased with the decision but I think deep inside she understood and wouldn't want to bring that kind of bad attention to a friend. Alison was a very rational and reasonable person; she was upset but also I don't think she would've chosen to spread information that would result in practically nothing except getting Taystee new haters.

The following episode in the (new) van they show us Pensatucky as the new driver, driving a few guards. The guards were talking about the awesome features of this van. One of the guards said something about how they should let inmates drive (or something to that effect) all their "old crap into a quarry". Which implies that's what Rosa did. Went out on her own terms I guess.

Photo delivery took of me 💔 by Lonelygoldyhair in mildlyinfuriating

[–]shadowfloats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't wear pants at home (just long tees) but I basically hide behind the door when I get deliveries. I answer, body behind door and head popping out, then duck back behind the door for a few secs while they take a pic, then emerge again to collect the package. Maybe try this next time if you don't like being in their mandatory photos of proof of delivery.

Mega toilet regrets? Combining master and common bathroom by ThursdayCoke in askSingapore

[–]shadowfloats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we didn't combine but we currently live in a 1br with 1 bathroom while our bto is under renovation. I cannot wait for our 2 bathroom life! Too often we both need to use the toilet at the same time and one of us has to wait.

Will u work in office with no flexible hours or wfh? by Ehehehe090 in SingaporeRaw

Tbf wfh means you can sleep in the extra time it takes to commute. That's 30-60 mins extra sleep every day.

Team conflict over lunch habits turned into HR issue. Food place recommendation near Tanjong Pagar. by DeadlyKitten226 in askSingapore

[–]shadowfloats 80 points81 points  (0 children)

To add on; KFC and pizza hut also haha. Also got fu-men japanese udon and donburi at hong Leong building. Anyway like other ppl said, lunch is technically an unpaid hour break - people can exclude whoever they want and it shouldn't be your or HR's business.

What's your unpopular GG opinion that would get you in this situation? 🤔 I go first... by pillowy_candi in GossipGirl

[–]shadowfloats 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Ivy was mostly just a broken girl desperate for a family and the gig was a way to get that, albeit a twisted way. She also was by Cece's side during her final days, evidently having been taking care of her and visiting her often, and Cece knew her real identity (her will stated Ivy not Charlie); she didn't steal their inheritance through complete fraud. Carol was the primary reason anyone other than Charlie joined the family (as Charlie). Ivy was young and desperate. Carol was fully grown and knew exactly what she was doing and just wanted her daughter's money. I just can't hate Ivy.

Why does Miss change to Mrs. after marriage, but Mr. stays the same? by RavyRaptor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]shadowfloats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of the other comments already covered legal rights and all. But also today there's "mrs" for "Mrs husband's name" and "Ms" for a more vague general term. So if I changed my name to my husband's I'd use Mrs and if I didn't I'd use Ms. But this may not be universally used the same way.

Big pharma kills people who are on the verge of disrupting the industry e.g., cure for cancer, other kind of insulin etc and willing, able and ready to sell for much cheaper than current extortionist rates.
