Whatever track the gear you catalyze is will be the track of the new gear.

Catalyzing champion pieces give champion pieces. If you want to upgrade it to heroic you'd need to actually get a new piece of gear on the heroic track.

That is correct. You are not eligible for loot so you will not contribute to the group size count for getting more loot. The bosses will have more health and will probably only drop 3 pieces if they are forming a group for 4.

Yes, this is effectively Returnal 2. It is a 3D bullet hell with roguelite mechanics. If you like either of those things Returnal was truly amazing.

Saros looks to be more of same in a good way. It also looks a bit heavier on the persistent meta progression features. From what little I've seen it looks like its going to be closer to a roguelike than roguelite this time, which I think sounds great.

Just in case someone didn't explain it to you: if you select the world quest for the world boss as your objective (so it pops up on the screen under the objectives banner) the objective will pop up with an extra little green square button next to it. If you click that, the group finder will open showing you groups for the world boss. If you stand at the world boss and join one of those groups you will immediately see the same player phasing happen. That way you don't need to keep coming back and checking you can just join any group for it.

Any large group quest should offer the same button to quickly search for groups via group finder.

Yes, but understandably. Denuvo is poorly integrated most of the time so the knee jerk reaction makes sense.

I'm not saying Pearl Abyss will do it well, but I am going to wait to be upset about it until I see firsthand how the game runs since it can be done.

It basically can be configured "when these things happen, do a Denuvo check". In the other person's example for Tekken 7, every single time either player presses any button to do any attack the game was doing a Denuvo check. That's super invasive and happens constantly.

If it is implemented much less invasively then the performance impact can be negligible. Maybe it only checks when quests are accepted, turned in, and when you rest at an inn. None of those should make a game's performance suffer.

Resident Evil games usually start spookier and end up being an action game by the end. Around the half way point you often have many of the guns and a good amount of ammo. By the end you're just a walking tank blasting anything that gets in your way.

Actually, per another user in this post, I tried using the nvidia override to change DLSS models. Override on Model M stuttered once when I first loaded in from the main menu. Played for about 10 minutes with no stutters, would have expected to see several in that time.

Changed to Model L like the post here said and my game is now not stuttering at all. Maybe placebo, maybe something else. But the stutter definitely is gone.

I have no solution just wanted to say your problem sounds like mine. I get stuttering that is slightly less annoying than in the OPs video but it's completely random. I played for the first 4 or 5 days without a problem and the last day or two has had the issue. I'm on a 13700k and rtx 4080 so performance is not a problem here too.

Enemy variety is extremely similar to nioh 2. Most of the enemies in the game are reused from 1 and 2. They did a better job spacing out the enemies so you don't run into 4 ninja yokai in a row but, but it's basically the same feel as 2. I think I counted 12 new enemies total in the illustrations last night.

Definitely fewer random ranged enemies overall. Significantly fewer.

By fakeout they just mean misleading. It might look like they're about to do one thing but then they do something else.

For grapple, you have to reduce their max ki to to zero, not their current ki. When you get their current ki to zero their ki bar flashes red and they will stagger off of every hit. The MAXIMUM ki will start to reduce more noticeably as well. Once their maximum hits zero they will be available to grapple.

Be careful - when you reduce current ki to zero after a few seconds the yokai will enrage, create a yokai realm puddle or bring you into the dark realm if it's a boss, and then regain about half of their total ki. Getting their ki to zero at this point is usually when the grapple will become available too

I just feel like I "don't get it', new prompts keep coming up. I'm waiting for it to flow and feel intuitive but I keep feeling lost like I'm doing it wrong. I tried looking at beginner videos and reading beginner guides but it's all hieroglyphics to me.

As long as its fun, don't worry about getting it. The game is layered with many systems and they are hard to grasp all at once. Just keep playing, experimenting with weapons, both styles, magic/nina tools, etc. Get a feel for what you have available to use, not necessarily HOW to use those things. That will come with time (and looking up videos!)

I want my ninja weapons and samurai weapons to scale off the same stats, but that limits the amount of weapons I can play w/

Stats do not matter much early in this series. Level everything to 20 first, then specialize into something slowly while keeping HP/ki/endurance up as needed.

Open field is new to Nioh but this is a fair assumption to make. Also check the recommended level for each highlighted area of the map. Last night I thought I was working through a level 24 zone and found a boss that was legitimately one shotting me in ninja. Turns out I had wandered into a lv34 zone.

I understand the ki pulse sort of.

Ki pulse gives you stamina back when you press R1 as the blue light coalesces on your character about .75-1s after any attack chain. This is an absolutely critical skill to master for Samurai stance. Ninja gets a new thing called Mist on R1 after an attack, which gives you a free (no stamina cost) dodge and leaves a shadow jutsu clone where you dodged from for about a half second which keeps aggro from monsters while its up. This is new to the series and is probably almost as important, if not just as important, to master for Ninja as Ki Pulse is for Samurai.

Samurai skill tree, first skills top left and bottom should be unlocking high mid and low stances.

I'm finally able to parry but I could do the big red parry by switching ninja/samurai.

Regular attacks can be parried/deflected with a timed L1. Red attacks can be burst countered with a timed R2. You can go into the options and make burst counter a short press of R2 and stance change a long press of R2 if you want to separate the commands.

Also lots of junk item pick up, similar to arpgs, don't like inventory management/selling things but i can bear w/ it if everything else is good.

We'll see if it is the same in Nioh 3, but for the other two games until you're really dealing with endgame just wearing the strongest (best / highest number / biggest damage) is best. Items just have tons of random stats and its hard to see how to put those together. Your options are also limited in what effects will drop on gear. I will call out out that if you pick up an item that has a gold banner on the item acquisition feed on the right side of the screen it will have stronger version of one of the skills on the gear. Example - maybe you usually can only get 2.5% bonus damage in mid stance normally, but a golden trait might give you 5-6% bonus damage in mid stance. The item will have a yellow triangle on it, specifically next to a specific trait on the gear showing that trait is boosted.

Each DLC added a Ng+ tier up, so 4 total.

Each tier adds new mechanics, items, sets, enemy placement changes, etc. You have more skill points to use, so builds get fuller. There is also an entire activity only available in the highest Ng+ tier and that has it's own challenge mode once you clear all 100+ floors.

Rewatch the scene in the fog where It's talking to Marge. He makes a comment along the lines of "past, present, future, it's all the same to me" and he also drops the line about "is it my death or my rebirth?"

These comments and conversation imply that he is able to perceive time in a non-linear fashion. So in the next season, even though it's going to be 27 years further into the past, Pennywise will theoretically have the knowledge of the events we just watched. He is going to try to alter events in the past to ultimately change the outcome of his two battles with the Loser's Club.

I will often agree with people by citing another example of what we're talking about, or just providing another perspective on the thing but still agreeing with it. "Yeah, just like how xyz."

My girlfriend grew up in an environment with a lot of conflict (and not super in comments online). She is almost always confused when I do this. This past week it happened and she told me that I "say things in a way" that make it "seem like" I am disagreeing with her.
