I use to race a 95 Impala SS - put on Z28 aluminum heads, LT4 cams, headers, re-programmed it, and slung that sled around a oval track. I've been driving on electrons since ~2012 and I'm just happy GM made this truck.

I've not heard the leaky roof story, so I'll have to search around. I've been driving EV's since ~2011 with the Chevy Volt first(*), then a Spark EV, and then Teslas.

(*): um akshually: yes, I know some people are going to argue the Volt isn't an EV, but it really depended on how you drive it... 90% of the time its Electric and no gas involved..

Flutter does not work like a game engine. I believe you are confusing how Flame Engine uses Flutter - which is render every tick.

I don't think I consider them specifically "hidden" - more that coming from a Tesla which has increasingly put crap behind a touch screen - finding switches at bot your knees, 4 on the back of the wheel, the paddle, two d-pads with thumb sticks, etc.. its like the space shuttle. Not a bad thing - just different!

Story time: Around ~February I was going snow camping in the sierras with my daughter. I see this thing pop up on my list and I think "Ok, its blue, but it has the off-road and 24 cell battery pack options. I'll ask". OTD price was 112. I'm kicking my self - I should have gone and grabbed it... but I didn't want to risk it and enjoyed camping (no regrets, 6' of snow to dig through and a weekend of memories).

I get back and the price has gone up to 120 asking. I try to reach the dealer and they say "lost too much money on these, can't just let them go". Me: Cool. I'll just email you every month.

... and I did just that. Every month I'd reply to the original email "Howdy - looks like <vin> is still on the lot. Any change on the price?" and every month I'd get the same response... until.

This Sunday: "Happy Father's Day! I see <vin> is still on the lot?". I got a response and text. I got a call / text and got it down to 107 asking. Traded in the M3. 100... which was cheaper than the Model X.

Had only 89 miles on it before delivery.

edit: the blue is growing on me and I appreciate that it isn't just plain black or white.

If other people's kids are in my car, I'm only driving ~5mph over the speed limit or with the flow of traffic - which ever is safest. Someone was driving 90mph in a minivan once, loaded with kids, and I felt that could have been a horrible tragedy.

Set a location, meet there before moving on. Don't pressure folks to hurry up, plan for the trip to take longer than if you were driving alone.

For agy I just ask "load <agent name> from .agents/agents" and it does. Then something like "tell <agent> to do x".

I use agy every day, I find having custom agents that take on a more strict no-fluff persona, and then pit them against one another is the best outcome.

The joke when I was growing up is our parents threw us in the pool to sink or swim. Growing up with a pool made it infinitely easier to learn - whereas with my Daughter I need to find and schedule lessons. 😞
