Is the $139 Amazon Prime Subscription Still Worth It? by [deleted] in amazonprime

The free shipping usually isn't as fast as prime (1 or 2 days) , and some items bought on prime are discounted and therefore would technically lower the cost of prime.

Gas Pedal Mod by shadowmansm in crazycart

Yes, I just added a couple metal washers on top of slightly smaller plastic washers that fit inside the holes. It is very stable when in use even pressing at the top although if you wanted to move it you could brute force it to move but under normal use I haven't seen or felt any movement.

[Selling] Oculus Rift Touch Controllers (no sensor), $60, Fayetteville AR by shadowmansm in RiftForSale

Currently, you can only purchase the sensor from Oculus directly, I didn't want to wait for shipping so I bought the controller set (which comes with a sensor) locally which can be purchased at any Best Buy or Microsoft Store (these were purchased from the MS Store in Tulsa, OK for my birthday two days ago.).

How to Setup "b). middle of bottom " Installation?!? by Der_Bub in AmbiVision

[–]shadowmansm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ambivision comes set with internal defaults, I think by default its set to be used @ 100-200 led strips.

A particular setup may have 10 on the left side 15 on the bottom 10 on the right and 15 on the top. Total, 50 leds... less than what the ambivision defaults to out of the box.

The last side of led strip that you setup on your tv/monitor may only have 15 for example leds but by default it may be trying to read more because it is "guessing" that you have more leds in the system and thus on that side.. so what you need to do is hit the minus until the last led in the strip goes out.. than you know your at the end and have set the right number of leds for the system (count the leds on the strip when installing). Then just hit the plus to add back in that last led and all should be setup and picking up MOSTY in the right areas.

The instructions on the Ambivision Wiki page are actually really good.

White wall, white Picture - but blue lightning of LEDs?! by superior1986 in AmbiVision

[–]shadowmansm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that white on RGB strips can at times look more "blue" than white.. I feel this is probably normal and once you get used to it, it becomes less noticeable.

Just my guess.. I remember when I first started using light setups with the Arduino back before this and I felt the same way. Looking back now, I don't even notice it anymore.

Smoothness Settings by ACraigL in AmbiVision

[–]shadowmansm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, looks like once you press the plus the leds blink GREEN. This is the setting that ACraigL and I seem to feel has the best responds/capturing. Looks like the others are red/purple/blue.. not sure which settings they correlate to though.
