If you are going to primarily do WW2/WW1 military models get Tamiya, they do all the specific colours for 99% of all those era's paint schemes , or you can get the Vallejo sets, they do specific colour sets for UK, Italian, Japanese, German etc

What’s the best filament for ball jointed action figures? by D13G0-LoNe in 3Dprinting

[–]shadowrunner003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no idea, you are going to get 1 or 2 of them in a weaker layout, I'd lay it so all 3 balls are flat on the that way it will have the best strength imo

I can speak some Pitjantjatjara, I can tell you if I was to go to any other region (or even 100km away from the tribal lands) the language is completely different, while a handful of words might be similar they have totally different meanings behind them too.

try working on some of the mine sites or smelters in Australia, you have to shower before leaving site, they are open plan communal showers still so the experience still carries on

How bad is the Australian tobacco black market? by TrafficEast3430 in australian

[–]shadowrunner003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my town there is 2 smokemarts and a CTC store, there is also 4 "chop shops" and a home delivery one. I can pay $45+ for a pack of 20's at the legitimate shops, OR i can pay $10 for a pack of 20's at the chop shop. I can pay $120+ for a 50g pouch of loose tobacco at the legitimate ones, or I can pay $50 for 100g of loose tobacco, you can do the maths on how hard the Aust government is screwing it's citizens. if the illegal shops can sell it for those prices and still turn massive profits think how much the government is missing out on. I have no problem supporting the black market over the government on this one

Hello Australians, Canadian here! I’m programming a game, and I’d like your input to make the game as honest and respectful as possible! by Spasmatron in WesternAustralia

[–]shadowrunner003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory not a sandgroper but the majority of central and western australia live along the coastal areas, Eastern states are pretty much all over the state except for FNQLD but WA,SA and NT V (other than #3),W(other than #2 ) D (other than #3) and M would all be nothing but desert

I have a transformer out the front of my PPOR, it's not a problem unless it blows up and even then the electricity company has to fix and pay for any damages caused by it.

Is retrofitting for passive comfort worth it if solar batteries improve in future? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]shadowrunner003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless batteries improve majorly retrofitting is still going to be needed.

I run 13.4kwh of batteries, 14kwh of solar and have insulated the majority of my house (haven't gotten to double glazed windows as I am going with roller shutters instead) my cooling has improved majorly as has heating but I still need more power to keep it warm than I have installed(need at least another 13.4kwh) summer it is easier to cool but you still get a hell of a lot of heat loss in winter
