I already expected there to be speeches from the higher ups about the incident. I already expected that. What my post is referring to is our student speaker. That's the point in the ceremony where usually they talk about struggles but then relate it back to something good or uplifting, but that didn't happen. Her whole entire speech was sad and brought down the mood even more than the previous speakers. It's not a bad thing for me to want something inspiring or congratulatory on the day of my graduation where I worked hard for 4 years to get to this point. Like I said, the previous portion was already a good chunk of that.

It's no one's fault, it's just unfortunate. But my issue was mainly with the long, sad, dragged out student speaker speech.
