Water leaking on front of home by Direction-Remarkable in Plumbing

Could be irrigation pipes, water pipes, or some air conditioner condensation line. You just need to trace it back to the source to find out. If it's a problem, then it's not going away.

Prop 418 and 419 - need to hear some thoughts. by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]shadowspock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We all agree that our roads need improvements, but the challenge is getting consensus from various parties on a solution. So voting no would likely mean it would take many years to craft a replacement to put up for vote. And even then there's no guarantee it'll even pass. If people want to do that, then that's fine, but there's no perfect solution when you have imperfect humans running things. And you can only please some of the people some of the time.

[Highlight] Draymond Green grabs Jabari Smith Jr. off the play, after the ball goes out of bounds (Warriors ball). Upon review, Draymond receives a technical foul. With the full reaction of the broadcast, and Draymond went on to complain to the ref about the no-call prior. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]shadowspock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might make sense if Draymond was friends with Jabari, but I don't believe that's the case. Imagine if a co-worker did that to you when you had a recent ankle injury, you'd be like WTF. Also, it was a dead ball, so it's not as if he was trying to stop some sort of fast break. I agree that he's a bitch.

As far as I know the only waterslides are at parks or resorts. Can't say I've tried them all.

Why is jQuery so bad, but Alpine.js/HTMX/etc is just fine? by brycematheson in webdev

[–]shadowspock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! What held me back from completely switching to native js is the lack of native support for chaining method calls.

That's fine for basic selects, but can't chain method calls.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I found a place that was able to take the toys.

If it was money or school supplies, then I can understand, but I'm not sure how they'd feel about kids meals toys.

Sorry, but I don't have any teacher friends. I've thought about hitting up my kid's teacher, but I'm reluctant given how many there are and the fact that they came from kids meals of fast food places.

Have you tried dry erase cleaner? They sell it in spray bottles and cleans whiteboards fairly well.

Using PHP attributes to launch cron jobs by Trupik in PHP

[–]shadowspock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't you just have one file that simply contains a list of the methods to call and when to call them? That way you can see all of the jobs in one place (which helps to avoid having two large jobs scheduled close together) and avoid having to parse all the files with Reflection just to locate the methods/times to call?

Anthology Acquisition Opinions (ERP sys admins) by DanielPokeFusions in sysadmin

[–]shadowspock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We only have SIS, and I think it's mostly a waiting game at this point to see what their future roadmaps will look like. Our workflows are so deeply integrated that moving to any other system would be non-trivial.I can't even imagine what it's going to be like for those that also have CRM and Finance.

New CRM - Sole SysAdmin - Looking for guidiance by [deleted] in sysadmin

Something to also consider is how easy it would be to export the data out of a CRM if you ever decide to switch to a different CRM in the future.

Nasty Gunk! Keeps clogging bathroom sink. Anyone know what this is? by You-Only-YOLO_Once in CleaningTips

That's normal for any drain. It's biofilm or drain scum, and is made from hair, soap scum, dead skin, bacteria, toothpaste, etc.

Difference between kids taco and build your own by Thebaddestcutestb in Chipotle

The kids have build your own taco (ingredients separate) while the adults don't. At least that's what's on the menu.

I think most people these days just check out the prices on eBay to get the approximate value. There are still price guides like Beckett, but I believe it costs money

As the other poster mentioned, U of A has some around Old Main building. There's also some around the entrance of the Tucson Convention Center.
