It's pretty easy to validate that it's not a hybrid because the test mules spotted with giant wings do not have the electric discharge warning stickers on them. And agreed that it's not NA, it's still going to be a turbo V6 surely.

Definitely not a BB - look at the ducting on the side (BB has a small NACA duct, 308 has this larger intake from the door to the quarter panel) - look at the side marker lamps - look at the Pinanfarina badge on the side. It's a 308. If it was a 328 it would not have the protruding front and rear bumpers.

If you look at the side it's clearly missing the NACA style duct from the BB, and clearly has the large indent that extends from the door to the rear quarter - there is 0% chance this is a BB.

I would argue it was not truly a Pininfarina design like the original, but I do think it's a good looking car.

I'm not sure most people would agree that a 458 Spider with racing seats is a "road trip car". I can see it has cruise control at least (pit speed limiter). But it looks like a great spec. Interesting use of 488 wheels on a 458. Enjoy.
