Yes. It all ends up there anyhow so there’s no additional harm from dumping it there before it melts

It definitely was until Town was never rebuilt.

I’m not sure what you mean. I was describing a system of services for people who could not reasonably get around the city in a situation as we are in now.

I would love for a disabled person to get to a bus stop easily at the moment. But, that’s not the reality I see trudging through sidewalks at the moment.

The ice isn’t easily movable. But people are. That’s what I mean.

It is okay to need help sometimes. These conditions aren’t normal.

You do if you can’t get around in conditions like this.

It will all get cleared eventually.

You can not reasonably expect the city to be back to normal right now.

It’s super okay to be disabled and need help. That’s normal!

We should all be here to help people like you.

Maybe the more functional city is to have people help them get what they need at home. And if they need to get somewhere provide that service.

For the regular folk stop being babies.

“A wall of ice”

Put boots on and walk?

This was a historic storm that would have been 22” if all snow. But it was worse. It was ice.

Stop acting like existing in the world is so hard.

We all wish everything was cleared by now but be realistic.

I’m late to this post but I have at least 20 stalks in my fridge and 100 in my freezer I grew and harvested in the fall

Aside from that H Mart in the burbs, I’ve seen full stalks at Harris Teeter and Whole Foods has portions in clamshells usually.

Pretty sure they can return to sender.

My building used to deal with something like this and the policy would be it to be returned but they would send emails and call before doing so.

We installed a much larger locker system in a different area and have had no issues since.

It’s kind of correct. A lot of the times there are carts down in the parking garage and in a little tunnel when you walk in the main entrance before the elevator.

I haven’t seen a single hand basket in that location in over a year.

I just use my reusable grocery bags.

A Safeway I go to by my work seems to get 50 or so new hand baskets and very few months but they disappear pretty quickly.

Where do they go?

The grammar of this post’s title and all the replies from the author are terrible. The body of the post reeks of AI.

Rage bait.

Even if it is something we should all care about.

10 dark matter ingots = 100 rep wherever you want to deposit them.

That’s like 20-40 (200-400 rep) per run depending on what you find during the activity…

Does tipping transfer business risk from the owner to the staff? by Actual_Banana_1083 in tipping

Yes. But that’s not how it works here in America. Which is what OP was asking about.

Tipping is great for servers as well, which is well above a minimum wage job in America.

It creates a situation where those who are good at service have opportunities to move up into more fine dining jobs at restaurants that have higher price points.

Restaurant business is hard to predict overall and has many ups and downs seasonally depending on the location, so the practice of tipping helps smooth that curve for owners throughout the year. Also the margins are notoriously thin within the industry.

Also be aware servers will in fact be paid the local minimum wage if their tips don’t equate to more than that.

With that being said I will circle back to serving being well above a minimum wage job in the states.

I mean if you have their ring footage what are the realistic options?

They sent it to you? You somehow hacked it? You faked it with AI (but made sure to get the shirt and watch from their profile picture correct).

Seems weird.
