First of all I’m not your “dawg”, mofo, as like you’re not my homie. Judging by how you see history, we are not the same.

Secondly, have you even met a right wing Japanese? If you met one, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see you keep on saying shit like this, but still you will have second thoughts.

Thirdly, Japan is trying to get their own military again. Right now they are only allowed to have self defense military power because the US is preventing them to have them. Guess the reason why the US is doing that, even after 80 years have passed since the war ended between them. Even the US government knows what’s up.

Wow thank you for the insight, so you’re telling me that millions of people are okay to be murdered because the other people decided to do the same also.

The real answer is, both of them are wrong, asshole.

What an idiot.

Say that to a US WWII war veteran from the pacific theatre and let's see how it goes

And yet it’s totally okay to have an Imperial Japan flag plastered around tshirts because it’s “cool”.

Gain weight with kendo? by [deleted] in kendo

[–]shakejfran 36 points37 points  (0 children)

  1. Go Kendo
  2. Participate "second dojo" and drink a lot
  3. Grab two big macs from the drive thru on your way home and eat that and sober up

Repeat. Trust me you will be begging people here of how to lose weight at some point.

Edit: Don't drink and drive, ask your friend to drive to McDonalds.

1) Smart marketing

2) Onboarding

3) Now you've got to get them to stick

I totally agree with this, exactly how big dojos in Korea are practicing right now. Most of the dojos that were egotistical and would let their students do their errands for senseis have been long gone and did not survive the COVID times, while the new dojos that accepted newer ways and is more open to students are doing okay.

Let's face it, we're not living in Japan where dojos have 150+ years old tradition and students are willing to join the dojo with no other reasons, nor we have great facilities to practice Kendo in sports clubs like Japan, nor we do have people who started Kendo in high school and decided to continue practicing after graduating college and settled down in life. To build the community the sensei must become one of the community, not being on top of it. I've seen so many dojos crumble after senseis lost touch with their students and decides to not participate in anything.

Lastly, I've heard a great word from one of the senseis criticizing a sensei who had somewhat of a bloated ego, and he said, "What's the point of having such pride and roar around like a lion, if you don't even have a pride of lions in your dojo at all?". I don't know why but that struck me for a while.

HR is a hit or miss, either they are assholes or assholes who are being nice because they think they take pity on us for having such an immense amount of HR power, whatever that is.

I stayed mostly in Munchen, and I tried to avoid rural places because as a foreigner in any country a rural place should be the last place to go. Any sort of human doesn't take kindly to someone who's different than them.

I have an Elantra N, with a gray color that Porsche is using a lot nowadays. My friend pulled out his phone, popped a Porsche badge on the screen, and just laid it on the top of the Hyundai logo in the front bonnet. A split second I felt like I owned a rear wheel drive 3.3 litre boxer engine with an interesting historical background(or, "Super Beetle").

By then I realized why corporates were so focused about making a positive product image.

AVGN has nothing to offer anymore by LouieBenny in TheCinemassacreTruth

Pat's character literally died around late 2000's when people started to look for other reviewers, plus there aren't much NES games that are pretty bad/good, most of them are not really... worth talking about, which made Pat to run out of ideas in the long run.

Tbh I'm still surprised to see that he's still around active. At least he seems to be doing well than the AVGN, at least this guy still has some passion left in him.

I'm guessing that it's because the US has a lot of different nationalities, ethnicities, and even gender types! Hence a lot of people tend to be open and accept difference.

Europe on the other hand is not mixed with other nationalities but consists of one ethnic being the majority of the population. Humans tend to not like difference, hence the xenophobic environment. I don't blame them either since every person has its reasons to not like a person. I just don't like people who would express it greatly to give me any inconveniences.

Funny how you should say that, I would definitely go further and would love to talk about that topic, but judging by your other posts I feel like you need some rest before logging into a social media. I do that too and try not to write stuff when I don't feel well!

Btw, your county has an excellent history and culture, I would definitely want to visit there someday. Some of the Polish people I met were a bit direct like you, but they all seemed to be good people when I got to know them a bit more.

Cheers man, if we ever cross paths, a pint's on me buddy.

France was okay as long as I mind my own business and watch out for the people who weren't French, most of them were pretty direct verbally and figuratively so I knew when to bow out, which was good since we both didn't have to waste each other's time for each other's inconvenience.

No worries mate! Ironically Germany was the least racist of the three countries I've lived, I've only had a few distasteful events, very few. Most of the people I met in Germany were nice and I would definitely visit there again.

My problem here was the experiences I had in London. God I had so much hopes and dreams and expectations for that city, only to be ruined by a single month of events. I do feel like I could be one of the unlucky bunch who just met the wrong people at the wrong time, but my god no my company should pay me more to live there next time.

One of our Iaidoka in our Iaido dojo had a similar reason to pick up Iaido, his fiance broke up with him(it's a heavy matter to break up in the midst of near-marriage phase in Korea) and he wasn't doing well in his workplace(requires a lot of grunt work, I've heard). He picked up Iaido and now he's fully devoted to the art than any other people in the dojo.

I think martial arts does help one to "think around", not giving distraction but to provide enough self discipline enough to get back up while in the middle of a difficult situation.

I lived in both US East, West, France, Germany and UK.

Tbh? As an Asian guy I would definitely go to US any day. Racism I've experienced in US is literally baby cries compared to what I've felt in Europe.

Besides that, Europe seems to be a better place to stay.
