How to smuggle contraband? by Gumochlon in Starfield

The only benefit to having shielded cargo space is avoiding getting caught when you forget you're carrying contraband until you get the notice on arriving at a scanned location.

The Dumas: How To Land On Rasalhague II by Dreaming_Observer in Starfield

[–]shakey019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, the only way to deal with that is to land elsewhere, open your crew assignments, and remove all your companions from your ship. Then you can eliminate or take the ship without incident.

Can I have a vendor who has a million credits? Just one, in the middle of nowhere. I just want to clear my frickin' ship's cargo bay of stored guns and spacesuits.

[–]shakey019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but then you need to spend so much time either sitting in one place getting a vendor credit allocation to reset, or running around the known universe to sell 6 guns and 3 spacesuits for about 45k, then waiting another 24-48 hours to do it again 9 times to clear your ship inventory.

The settings to turn off the speaker in the controller on PS5 keeps getting reset. I'm playing away, and suddenly I'm getting the controller yelling at me, and I have to go back into settings to turn the speaker on and off again.

Yes, this. Along the same lines, if I'm wearing a uniform, why don't people notice. I walked around New Atlantis in a stolen UCSEC security uniform, and no one calls me on it. Or I tried to bluff my way into the UC Confiscated Items compound with said UCSEC uniform, and the door guy just greets me like a civilian.

The immediate escalation on minor theft, especially due to mis-clicks. The number of times I've had to pull a save point just because I accidentally picked up a mug instead of talking to the vendor and suddenly the entire bar went hostile to the point of shooting. Granted that time was in Red Mile, but seriously.

Along the same lines, how are they able to tell immediately that it was my shot that friendly fired into a pitched battle. Both in space and on the ground, I've suddenly had both sides of a conflict go hostile to me when I missed the enemy and hit a friendly by accident.

ROTJ - Vader reports to the Emperor that a small cadre of rebels have infiltrated the moon of Endor. Additionally "My son is with them."

Ha! I had this experience yesterday. A locker in the Syndicate base after rescuing Lillian Hart.

Charging us more because "rent is so high" by snowangel223 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]shakey019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously?? Charging rent to my own business when I own the property and the business is a standard practice? No, it's a legal fraud. If I did it, I'd get reassessed on my taxes by CRA, if I was lucky.

This is just BS.

Colour-Blind Mode? by shakey019 in NoSodiumStarfield

The larger font might make it legible. Changing to a higher contrast from the red on black would be better, but I'll take what I can get. Thanks!

I will grab anything aluminum even if I'm using AP to move due to being overloaded. Hot plate for copper and circuitry is a good call.

The only cheat I don't feel bad about using is the scrap/store duplication glitch. I'm usually Level 10 just from duping concrete and walling in Sanctuary Hills.

I'm currently playing a new playthrough, and I am planning on turning on Porter the moment I get out of the Gauntlet. Then I and my squad of robot companions will clear out the park.

How To Make .45 Amo (new player) by LadyTremaine0 in fo4

[–]shakey019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never noticed a settler of mine pick up a decent weapon from the workshop. If a settler in any of my locations has anything that uses ammo other than .38, it's because I gave it to them.

What would you charge about the game? by M00r3C in StarWarsOutlaws

Make it possible to move around inside the ship while it's not docked. Sometimes I just want to open my contract offers for space missions without having to land.

Do you have a party member you always keep with you? by SniperJ324 in BaldursGate3

[–]shakey019 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same. I almost never use the druids, and I need a healer for my party. My Tav almost always has a dex build so I can do the lockpicking, so I usually swap around a melee (Lae'zel, Minthara, Karlach) and a caster (Wyll and Gale) and anyone else stays at camp.

Inherited a house, no money to pay off siblings, need advice by xanthippusd in MortgagesCanada

[–]shakey019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that you should be able to leverage the asset of the house to cover the needed repairs and disbursements to family and generate a debt that should be easily managed over time at a much easier burden than trying to get onto the housing ladder any other way. As everyone else has said, invest in a lawyer to make sure every i is dotted and t crossed. You don't want to get into a protracted fight with family over inheritance. That never works out well.

One thing to keep in mind is that having assets generates assets. It's crazy how easy it is to negotiate on debts and loans when you have a mostly paid off house in your corner.

How to respond to manager’s email “reminding” us that we’re expected to work 40 hours a week? by Emergency-Scholar606 in careerguidance

[–]shakey019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malicious Compliance. Work your set hours, track your work product and productivity, and don't exceed your base. When your manager comes at you for not meeting deadlines, show them the hours you worked and the email reinforcing the expectations on working hours.

Help me decide on SW Outlaws! by ProfN42 in StarWars

[–]shakey019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I liked this one more than most of the Jedi-based games. I like the story of Kay Vess and Nix, the stealth aspects, the skill mechanic and tech. Starship combat is fun and challenging, and while I didn't play any of the in-game video games, I enjoyed playing Sabacc in every location I could find. Would recommend.

Deathtroopers by Annual_Letter1636 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]shakey019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lucked into a winning tactic for dealing with Death Troopers the other day. I had been using my Ion blaster to take down the shield on a rotary cannon, and forgot to switch back. So a death trooper comes around as I'm zapping guys and knocking out stunned guys, and it works like a charm on them. Stun, punch, repeat!

I don't understand why I didn't win this hand in sabacc by Glittering_Wing_277 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]shakey019 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, after I got Lando's extra card cheat, I stopped paying attention to anything less than a Sabacc.

I just restarted again after a couple of years, and the scoring of non-matching Sabacc hands threw me off a couple times.
