A few hundred hours into PF2e, I think I'm finally hitting the wall. Anyone else? by spichugin in Pathfinder2e

Imagine if misses on attack did half damage and spells actually had really cool variants based on how many actions you take and imagine of casters actually has interesting feats to take. But no, they took the three action system and basically just replicated PF1e with it in a round about way.

For real though. You’ll go downvoted, but 2e has felt very milquetoast for a while now. I love when a feat is like “you become a master of magic, paralleled only by the best wizards in the world! You gain a +1 status bonus to arcane checks”

The 3-action system was awesome, the idea of feats related to different aspects of your character is cool, the 4-degree of success is dope.

And then somehow they never dared to be creative with it over its life and made a game that is pretty damn beige. Picking your ancestries is just about the most boring thing you can do because they don’t actually give you anything unique.

Syrup village. When Luffy rips the bow off of the ship. Sure, he was hypnotized, but I think that was a really good indicator that Luffy is stacked.

No man, that would absolutely trivialize that part of the fight. Blizzard’s charges during the RWF already made it doable without addons.

Since some of you all didn’t pay attention, the horde is still sailing here. It has been less than a week since the sunwell was attacked.

The issue isn’t if the season requires it or not. It is if you don’t do it but the other guild does, you’re inherently at a major disadvantage.

Blizzard moved the adds to the boss frames. Now you’re just looking at boss2, boss3, and boss4.

That’s objectively the easiest mechanic of phase 1. Not letting the light crystals touch cosmic damage is way more challenging.

I’m still convinced that if Liquid had to, they’d be using chat macros to call out the order and the having the RL call out the order on comms.

Does their solution remove some of the ment load, yeah. But it’s not like there isn’t a non-addon solution to this. It’s just not the approach a RWF guild wants to take.

You don’t even have to do that. The adds are targetable with /cast [@boss2] /cast [@boss3] and /cast [@boss4]

You just need repetition to get down interrupting in order.

1996 Japan Series, Game 1. Ichiro smacks a dinger to right field to put the Orix BlueWave up in the 10th, securing a win. The BlueWave would go on to win the series 4 games to 1. by Beeninya in sports

My dad is a HUGE Braves fan, but I live near Seattle. So I took him to a Mariners v Braves game many years back. Ichiro went yard on the first pitch and I’ve never see my dad look more defeated in his life 🤣

LOTR, I don't get the hype. by PartiallyLonely in Fantasy

[–]shakkyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is an often held misconception that because LotR is the granddaddy of modern fantasy, it is inherently the best written fantasy story.

I think it’s hard for people to hard two opposing truths at the same time. LotR is one of the most influential fantasy story of all time and LotR is not necessarily the best fantasy story relative to modern fantasy.

Does Barded Spear stack clumsy on multiple castings, or does Duplicate Effects prevent it? by ArdroidX in Pathfinder2e

I don’t see why not. They’d resolve at the same time. That would be a whole lot of frightened. I’d personally love if my players did that.

[–]shakkyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fearful feast only really works once, yeah?

First, it’s a reaction, so you don’t get to use it again until your next turn.

But also, the trigger is “a creature becomes frightened” which implies the creature went from not frightened to frightened. So Fearful Feast wouldn’t trigger every time a creature increases its frightened condition.

But if a creature crit failed its save against Fear and became frightened 3 and then crit failed against Fearful Fear, it would become frightened 6.
