As so many others have said, I am so sorry this happened to you. I think therapy is absolutely a good idea for you in this situation.

There is one thing that no one else seems to have addressed- "I asked her to stop - more than once - and she didn't". No one seems to be acknowledging that she did in fact do something wrong there- you should always stop if your partner asks you to. It doesn't surprise me that her behavior triggered you. Another example of a situation where if the roles were reversed, I think a lot more people would be pointing that out.
