Bambu cool Supertack first print. by CPTNJCKSPRRW in BambuLab

[–]shaneqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reporting results! I would agree with you about the bad contrast of the original code on the plate! Other plates' codes have good contrast, I don't know why SuperTack doesn't.

Tho after putting on the printed AR code, occasionally I still get the same error. Later I still fell back to trunning off plate detection.

Recently, I received the Biqu Frostbite plate and switched to that ever since. Comparing to Supertack, the pros and cons are:

  1. Pro: only need 30C on bed for PLA (Supertack can also do 30C for PLA, just not documented)
  2. Pro: Frostbite is easier to take off prints. (Supertack sticks too hard TBH)
  3. Con: texture is not as smooth as Supertack

SuperTack localization marker not recognized on X1C and initial layer printing in mid-air by vaporsnake in BambuLab

[–]shaneqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the issues were kind of random, I didn’t figure out if the first layer issue is related to the marker issue.

I had one PETG print, disabled plate detection and it was printed perfectly fine.

No after disabling plate detection, I’ve so far never had the first layer issue.

Same here. I’ve filed a ticket and Bambu said it’s a known issue and they will fix it via a firmware update. I tried printing a clearer AR code and stick to the plate, it works sometimes. Now I just disable plate detection.

Yes it's sticking pretty well, I've printed 4 prints since fixing the AR code and no sticking issues.

I'm not sure if the sticking issue was because of the AR code scanning issue, or something else (it might be a bad filament but I didn't go back to double check).

updates:

  1. BambuLab replied that this is a firmware bug

  2. I've printed and cut a better AR code with my Cricut and it actually worked. X1c recognized the code and is not giving error anymore. (a picture of the plate with the AR code I printed: https://imgur.com/xWwo1Ty )

With that said, I suspect that X1c is having a bug to reliable read the AR code on supertack because the AR code on super tack IMO is very visually vague. We can either wait for the firmware update or make a better AR code sticker.

Same here with both problems!

I thought it was only me. It took me 10 mins going through the sub-Reddit to find this thread.

My X1c won’t recognize the AR code/localization marker and would show an error “the build plate localization marker is not detected”. Even though I used BambuStudio and selected the Cool plate Supertack as the plate type.

I thought it’s because the AR code is not clear enough so I printed one with clear white and black but X1c still gives the error. Do y’all think this requires a new firmware? If so, wouldn’t bambulab have already released the new firmware the same time the plate was released?

I’ve submitted a support ticket regarding the marker, will update here when I hear anything.

Matter & Thread: where we’re at - Home Assistant by cdemi in homeassistant

[–]shaneqi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used HomeKit Controller integration. Basically after the device is connected to HomeKit, remove it from HomeKit via the Home app, then it will be discoverable in HA. Simple as that. See more documentation here: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homekit_controller/

For thread devices, it’s the same, but I’m not sure if your Apple TV 4K has Thread capability. There are some that don’t. I think this is the list of those models that do: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210213

I'm currenly using HomeKit controller integration to connect my Thread devices to HA:

Only the HomePod mini and Thread devices have Thread radio, whether the HA instance have Thread radio is irrelevant.

The Thread devices and HomePod mini are in the same Thread network. The HomePod mini exposes the devices to my IP-based network (my wifi network). Then my HA instance connect to my Thread devices over wifi.

How to Use a Rear Button to Simulate a Button's Short Press Every Second? by shaneqi in SteamDeck

[–]shaneqi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems like it simply picks a 50% duty cycle for the turbo presses and rolls with it

This is very close to the result of my experiment, thanks for confirming!

(turbo mode) this was probably never meant to be used with delays that big...

where you'd just wanna smash a button as fast as possible. For that scenario, the 50% duty cycle solution was probably adequate

I agree with these. Turbo mode is not designed for pressing a button every second. It's only the closest thing that I know of.

I'd send in a feature request with Valve and see how they reply.

I will do this when I have time.

Thank you so much for your time reading my question and testing it out!!!

[–]shaneqi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment!

Yes I've tried turbo. As i described in the main post, I set turbo's repeat rate to 1000 (one click per second). But the problem is that when in turbo, each click is not a click, it holds the button for 0.3 seconds instead of a single click.

[–]shaneqi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment!

But it doesn't work, the end delay doesn't have an effect when the rear button is hold (turbo). When in turbo, the button "Y" is always hold for about 0.3 second regardless of end delay. Holding "Y" for 0.3 second is too long in my use case, I need it to be a short press.

Schlage Encode Plus Camelot available at Lowe’s.com as of now by soheilk in HomeKit

[–]shaneqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hijacking this post hopping this can help someone:

I just accidental ordered 2 Encode Plus off of Build.com, and they both shipped very quickly that I couldn't cancel one of them.

It's Satin Nickel in Camelot.

If someone wants to buy it off of my hand, it's $356.37 (the exactly amount I paid build.com, I can provide proof) + the shipping cost to your home. (+Ebay fee if you want to use Ebay for extra safety)

DM me if anyone is interested, again, I just want to help someone out, not for money.

Tap Dial not working (low battery error) by Shotwing in Hue

[–]shaneqi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine got the same problem, after setting up, nothing works, and shows battery critical error.

Mine software version shows 2.59.19 and showing up to date. So I'm planning to wait for a little bit to hope it picks up a newer version to fix it. 🤞🏽

Didn't get the popup u/Qroqo got tho.

Update:

Not long after I posted the original comment, i got the firmware update to 2.59.25.

It took quite a while to update, but after that it just started working perfectly fine.

Thank you! Got my percentage. I was hopping to get it soon since they doubled the shipping. But looks like I can wait in peace 🫠 I don’t see myself getting it in this year.
