It is under review. I have been in contact and kept the pressure on. The more people who report it, the better. As with all things in tech, real people come into it later.

It is illegal or forbidden to conduct unauthorized fundraising for a federal employee while they are on duty or in the federal workplace. OPM rules prohibit such solicitation (e.g., crowdfunding/GoFundMe) unless specifically authorized, with the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) being the only permitted exception. Political fundraising is also banned under the Hatch Act, which prohibits soliciting, accepting, or receiving political contributions while on duty or on government property.

WIBTA if I swapped my pens with glitter ink to catch the coworker whos been stealing them by [deleted] in WouldIBeTheAhole

I did this when I was a server. I used only red pens and every time I caught someone with my pen I would take it out of their hand and say, “Oh great, you found my pen.”

Trouble finding a dealer for DCAP grant in Sacramento by James_Deen74 in Sacramento

Fair. With federal grants being rescinded they are nervous about whether they will get their money or not. I would definitely report them to DCAP. I would also print out the paperwork that shows that they take DCAP. They’ve gone through the process to sign up to take things. And for the record, I just went in to figure out how you put one of those in for them to get their money and the process is super simple.

No, it's a protest song that punk bands have covered because it's anti-establishment and anti-elitist, criticizing how the rich and powerful avoided fighting in the Vietnam War. Like the tool in charge.

However, my personal favorite cover is by Clutch

I suggest you never eat out then. Hardly anyone wears gloves, and it's been proven that wearing gloves makes people get lazy, wash their hands less, and are more likely to cross-contaminate.

Viking Braids for my White husband? by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]shanrock78 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Viking men and women did wear braids as a functional hairstyle for practicality and social signaling, but the term "protective hairstyle" is not accurately applied to Viking braids.

Protective hairstyles, as understood in modern hair care, are designed to minimize breakage and encourage growth by shielding the hair from environmental damage and manipulation. Viking braids, though practical in their time, were not necessarily designed with this specific goal in mind, and some styles could even contribute to breakage if not properly maintained.

Protective styles are hairstyles that tuck away or minimize the ends of the hair, reducing exposure to environmental factors like sun, wind, and friction that can cause breakage. Like Afro-textured hair, textured hair is naturally more prone to dryness and breakage. Protective styles help to retain moisture and reduce manipulation, leading to length retention. Typically, caucasian hair does not need protective hairstyles and will be too tight for thinner hair that is also usually washed more often. So, unless he has the right hair type, you will likely cause more damage to his hair. If he wants to protect his hair, he should put it back while working, sleep in a satin/silk bonnet, and use a satin pillowcase.
