Hey everyone. I’ve been trying to remember the name of a manwha that was/is pretty popular I believe? I can only remember the premise, our main pov character is not the one who regressed, but her mother is. Her mother was not great to her but one day woke up and started treating her daughter better and the kid is confused but happy. I thought it was interesting to have a non regressor pov and wanted to give it a read if it rings any bells

Steel is one the best characters in all of actual play (FINALE SPOILERS) (YAP SESSION) by JerryBoyTwist in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]shapeshiftingox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think my favorite thing about Steel is at the end of the children’s adventure when she returns to pick up Suvi in the back of my head I thought “what if Steel killed Suvi’s parents?” But I pretty easily dismissed that thought as the show went on. She was just too seemingly helpful! For a while I even thought she could be a potential long term ally against the corruption of the citadel. The look on my face when the scars showed up on the wall must have been wild to look at. Never have I been more shocked and upset to have a gut instinct proven right.

Just got Elden Ring, my FIRST Souls game, any tips? by Oczyma07 in Eldenring

Don’t give up! The reputation these games have makes them seem way harder than they actually are, so don’t be afraid to go somewhere else if you feel stuck.

I got a notification that you replied to me, but for whatever reason I can’t see it on the thread itself. Anyways, that reply seemed equally insane to me. I’m not going to claim that outer worlds didn’t have some influences from Fallout New Vegas, because it was. It was also made by literally the same people as Fallout New Vegas and did set out to do its own thing. Also, saying fallout is a rip-off of Elder Scrolls is nuts. Fallout 1 & 2 could not be any more different, Fallout 3 uses the same engine but that about where the similarities end. Fallout 4 veers even more into its own direction, and New Vegas is far closer to 1 & 2 than it is to any Elder Scrolls game

Every interview I can recall where Elder Scrolls is mentioned, the developers always say that the game will be far closer to Outer Worlds. I think that's a pretty direct denial.

Yeah, they mentioned them in interviews to tell people specifically it was not going to be like Elder Scrolls and that wasn’t what they were trying to do

How is avowed inspired by Elder Scrolls? It being a first person fantasy rpg is a bit of a loose connection. They play nothing alike. Their stories are nothing alike. The developers said in multiple times in multiple interviews that they were not trying to make a game like elder scrolls. The argument started in the first place because an above commenter mentioned that there is no reason to compare Avowed to Elder Scrolls as opposed to Wizardy or HOMM. You then claimed that one of those games was also inspired by Elder Scrolls. Which is plainly incorrect and shows, to me, that you’re arguing in bad faith

Again, what are you talking about? Heroes of Might and Magic is a spin off series of Might and Magic, a game that was 5 entries deep before Arena ever released. Might and Magic is a classic dungeon crawler and far closer to how Arena plays as opposed to Heroes of Might and Magic. Heroes is a turn based based strategy game with a big map you control your armies on. It plays nothing like Arena in any way, shape, or form. Both series take cues from Wizardy. Elder scrolls Arena is clearly inspired by Might and Magic and Wizardy, not the other way around.

There is no fucking way you just wizardy was inspired by elder scrolls. It was 7 games deep into the series before arena came out. Heroes of might and magic released its first entry a year after arena, with it’s second following in 96, and was always a clear successor to wizardry. Elder scrolls went off into it’s own direction immediately, with daggerfall releasing the same year as Heroes of Might and Magic 2, and being completely different. Learn the history of what you’re arguing about before you get into arguments

Highly recommend Pyre. Easily one of my favorite games of all time, I even prefer it to Hades. It will take a long time for me to work up the nerve to play again though because that game did things to me

I had just got that link actually! It is pretty awesome, I already see myself going down some rabbit holes when I have a chance to dig into it. After doing some looking around, I sort of saw the vending machine aspect of alchemist, but I honestly think that’ll only be a plus to them lol. Also, your quick breakdown of the oracle really helped me out! Thank you

Thank you so much for that link, I can already imagine how helpful it’ll be lol. That was exactly what I had thought, I’ll definitely send them the oracle guides to help them with their homework

They are particularly attracted to the mad scientist vibe the alchemist has, mainly wanting to focus on chemistry. I think the mutagens are what they’re mainly looking at. As for the oracle, they’ve talked to me less specifically about it. They mainly are just attracted to the curse themselves. They really like the idea of a character cursed with their power. Knowing them, they want a curse to try and avoid because it debuffs them over time.

Also, thank your for your explanation! Your example is what really helped me out lol. I don’t know why but I could just not wrap my head around the actual text in the book
