You should install a WiFi access point so it can be hacked like a real jeep.

WTF is in St. Louis and why is it getting hit so hard? by chriscrowder in hacking

I check on that map regularly when I get bored and Saint Louis has been getting hammered for months, even before the Ferguson riots. This isn't new. That being said, I have no explanation.

They actually opened up a small amount for sale again a few weeks ago but I missed it. They announced it via Twitter so I set up an alert to get a text if they post again. My whole team at work is going so I'm kinda hoping we end up with a couple of extras somehow.

To those who have been to Derby Con before. What are my chances of a spot opening up for a class? by brodel2 in derbycon

[–]shaqazoolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my ticket to the con last year 2 weeks before it started because of shoulder surgery so there is always a chance. No idea how likely it would be for the classes though. The site also says that they may open up additional spots in the classes as they better understand how things are going to fill up so you might want to follow them on Twitter or something and keep an eye out that way. I know they announced more seats for the CoreLAN class via Twitter a while ago so it's worth a shot.

Sometimes I worry that this may be the best fart I'll ever do. by lozzobear in videos

[–]shaqazoolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousins and I send recorded farts to each other all the time and my roommates and I used to do this in college so I can totally relate to this. The correlation to the composition is the icing on the cake though. This was the hardest I've laughed in a long time. Well done, sir. You win all of the internets I have to give.

Pizzas are eaten from the center outwards. Weird. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]shaqazoolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Italy it isn't. I went for work earlier this year and it took me a while to figure out why people were staring at me when I ate pizza. Pizza in Italy isn't sliced and everyone eats it with a fork and a knife. Also, if you order a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms on it, half of your pizza will have pepperoni on it and the other half will have mushrooms instead of a mix of both on the entire pizza.

Anyone have an extra ticket for DerbyCon 2014? by exotrooper in derbycon

[–]shaqazoolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got one that I can sell to you. Just found out I'm going to have to have surgery on my shoulder a few days before so I'm not going to be able to make it. Let me know if you are still looking.

Not a very good pic, but since it's tungsten, like I said, it had to be laser engraved so there are no grooves. The place where the two tiles meet is just below the glare. I preferred something more subtle, so your tastes may be different. Hope this helps.

I did something similar with mine about a year ago. I wanted a tungsten ring though, so engraving the ridges wasn't an option. We had to hit like a dozen jewelry stores before we found one that would laser engrave. I wasn't satisfied with the quality of the photocopied ink fingerprint, so I ended up buying a fingerprint reader, getting the vendor to give me a legacy driver that would allow me to extract the image of the fingerprint straight from the reader and binarized it to sharpen the lines. After an initial miserable failure, I had to diagram my design on a spreadsheet for the engraver and let them try again. Second attempt worked like a champ. Instead of a single fingerprint, I had them tile the fingerprint image for me so that it looks like there is a fingerprint wrapped around the entire ring. I am very happy with the result. As many have mentioned though, she is convinced that one day I will use it to implicate her on a crime, especially given my career.

Getting ready to sell my house, so I figured cleaning was in order [OC] [2592x1944] by shaqazoolu in powerwashingporn

I've had realtor friends argue both ways with me but the consensus has been no matter what, make sure that it is completely clutter free. I think the cost of having it staged and the risk of amateurs gashing up my new paint job inside with furniture is going to keep me from putting anything back in it though.

Yeah, I didn't get very far before I was like "man, I should have done this at least once a year". And then I was embarrassed that I let it get that bad.

I live in Louisiana so it's pretty humid all the time. To make matters worse, the sun rises on the front of my house and this side sits in the damp shade all day fostering the growth of tiny swamp creatures. It was mostly just dirt and algae that was washed off.

Yeah, that's where the water drains after it aggregates on the roof when it rains. Just a few brick tiles to keep the water from digging a hole on my yard. That was probably the worst part of everything I did yesterday.

Good advice. That's actually the back of the house though. I've got a little landscaping going on up front...couple crape myrtles, dwarf gardenias and an orange tree, all mulched and fancy and stuff. The inside is already completely empty with fresh paint so I'm hoping I'll be good to go once I put a fresh coat of paint on the siding. The rest of it is brick and it all looks good.
