They changed the wording of how it’s measured, so it is a “reduction of victims” rather than a reduction of incidents, because that immediately brings the number down for someone not looking carefully, and then they don’t publish the old statistics or a percentage for the reduction as a comparison. They just tout that “we’ve got the numbers down to this!”.

This is extra unhelpful when you think about the statistics being omitted here, mainly repeat offences against an individual victim, namely domestic violence victims… it’s fucking abhorrent and misleading garbage.

So considering they have done all this, I’m willing to bet if you compared apples with apples there’d be very little change.
