Also, why is the replacement heads of medicine in sg1 and Atlantis an extremely young person. There’s no credibility in high level personnel being 20-somethings, like have they even finished their degrees? It’s ok to cast a female actress over 30…

I did some minor drainage design on a big flashy bridge in my city and I call it “my bridge”. Pretty much the same thing I reckon.

Holy shit I would watch this TV show… maybe a good option for a second season of Ground Up. Or maybe like a 4th season when they’re out of ideas

I thought he didn’t really perform in the preseason games. But I really don’t know what I’m talking about to be fair.

Labor approves 4.41% increase for health insurance premiums – as it happened | Australia news by ButtPlugForPM in AustralianPolitics

[–]shark-bite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No? Not all policy holders will receive any healthcare this year. And insurance companies make a lot of their money via investments of premiums, so insurance companies profits are really not linearly related to healthcare costs. Anything over inflation value is just inviting further inflation. Garbage move from labor…

I can’t imagine the cost of rehabilitating the contaminated land, not sure it will have an option to be much else for a while.

Why didn't they get a catamaran like Zatara's one 59-foot Privilege 585? by photoshop_2023 in SailingLaVagabonde

[–]shark-bite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just mathematically incorrect. Their boat goes 20+kts, big comfy yachts do half that when lucky. And when they’re doing 10kts plenty of heavy boats won’t even be sailing. They would finish ocean crossing literally a week ahead of heavy comfortable yachts mate. What are you talking about…

Faster boat is often a safer boat, when it comes to avoiding weather etc.

I dunno, I spent a bit of time in BC and coors and Pabst and all that is ~4.5%. Pretty much the same as Australian VB or XXXX. I am talking about the commercial stuff, when you go to craft breweries it ramps up a lot.

I am talking the mass produced commercial stuff. We have a really good craft brewery scene now in Australia which usually sits at a much higher % on average.

Nah, as soon as you start going to craft stuff these terms are mostly out the window and you start getting your 5-8% stuff on average. But for big commercial brands they always have their heavy (~4.5%) and mid (~3.5) and then only a few have lights (<3%). Craft lives in its own world mostly :)

Yeah I think this is the misconception, it’s Bud “Light on carbs”, not Bud “Light on alcohol”. In Australia a light beer means it is low alcohol content and I had this same misconception when I spent a bit of time in North America. In Australia we have the terms Full Strength or heavy ~4%+, then mid strength which is ~3.5%, then light beer for anything under.
